Called in one evening, had a few drinks and some desserts which were very tasty. Very friendly chatty staff, made to feel welcome. Great views from front window.Food: 5/5
Me and my auntie regularly visit The Waggon Inn as the food is amazing. We are always made to feel welcome here as the staff are lovely and the manager is always happy to have a chat she is lovely. I've only waited once to be seated as they were busy, but normally, if it is quiet, you can seat yourself, but most of the time, we are greeted by staff who let us pick our own table. Again, the food is to die for and has a good selection on the menu. The atmosphere is very relaxed and warm and is also dog friendly. Honestly, I will highly recommend The Waggon Inn to anyone. from me. Parking: Parking I would say at a guess 15-20 bays and is free. Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and they also have side door for larger wheelchairs on the conservatory and I know the staff would be happy to open.
Great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Really liked this place. Highly recommendedFood: 5/5
Absolutely tip top. After leaving a nearby establishment due to expensive lunch menu and absolutely freezing cold room, we came her for more than a warm welcome. Warm and friendly. Delicious hot and fresh food. Amazing steak and onion rings. Great burger and sharing platter. We will return.Food: 5/5
Never visited before but this was a lovely pub. Weren't many people in when we first arrived but it was no problem to open the dining room where it was flat access for our mum. Excellent friendly staff, good pub food, nice & warm and very clean.Food: 5/5
Menu's changed. The same inside. Servers bark your name when coming into the restaurant area. I chose a chicken dish. Initially it was tasty, but there were some thicker parts of the chicken that were not properly cooked. For that reason cannot give a good rating.Food: 2/5
Came here a few days ago with my family, we arrived around 7 and waited to be seated but no one came, we assumed as it was quiet we should just seat ourselves, after placing an order for £30 worth of drinks and browsing the menu we went to order food around 20 past, however were refused service as kitchen had closed early. I proceeded to ask why we hadn’t been told this prior when we asked for the menus to the girl behind the bar who was very rude and told us that “it wasn’t her problem it’s the chef” she then went on to scream for “Terry” at the top of her voice who I assume is the chef to come talk to us, second round of drinks were not touched as they had just been poured and were also refused a refund. Terrible customer service all together and as a regular will not be returning here.
We have been many time times to the Waggon. We went yesterday for Sunday lunch and the service was friendly and professional, and the food was very nice and great value. Plus they can provide a Gluten free options. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Lovely food & nice cold drinks and a cosy atmosphere, staff very pleasant and friendly, it has pool table and dart board and decent size car park, My favourite on the menu is the beef sandwich with salad chips and gravy. Can get busy so you might want to book a table.Food: 5/5
I love this pub, and a regular, but last night, 31/07/2024, food wasn't good, even trying the mix grill for the first-time too... sausages were off, black-pudding was tiny, grey thing, and rump steak tasted weird, thin slice, like it was defrosted from a microwave, really disappointed, and even this to the staff cleaning away, meal, it wasn't nice and left the sausages, black pudding, but got the impression she didn't care, and same person that we asked for more drinks, but she ignored that, waited 5 mins, so ended up going to the bar to order them. I may have ate the mix-grill, but will not be ordering this again, hate to say, tasted poor-quality and of it shelf life, I would know being a chef... day never took my phone for pictures, but not happy after spending a total of £115 for evening, didn't even get a response from the kitchen about the sausages, black-pudding being served off.
