I visited this restaurant some time ago, and while I’m certain the menu has evolved since then, perhaps this review will still be useful to someone. The location is undoubtedly one of its most unique qualities—set in a repurposed chapel, the ambiance is distinct, blending historic charm with modern dining. The menu was versatile, and as a vegetarian, I had no trouble finding suitable options. While none of the dishes left a lasting impression in terms of standout flavors, the food was certainly pleasant—well-prepared, with clean presentations. It didn’t push boundaries but offered an honest, satisfying meal. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive and professional, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We invited guests who thoroughly enjoyed the occasion, largely thanks to the seamless and polished service. Overall, while the food may not have been groundbreaking, the combination of setting, service, and solid execution made for a pleasant dining experience.
We had a very good time in this restaurant! We tried different plates but our favourite was the chocolate mousse dessert; warm foamy chocolate coupled with ice cream and hazelnuts giving it the perfect texture. The place has a very nice interior and there is parking right outside of it. Would recommend it.Food: 5/5
My wife and I come here every year for a tasting menu and they never disappoint. We loved our meal this time around, the charred watermelon gazpacho was the start dish of the night for both of us! The wine pairing is fantastic and we love the journey we are taken on describing the wines, why they are paired and what flavours to expect. The team really go the extra mile in service and make us feel welcome every single time and the food is luxurious, elegant and delicious. Such thought is given to every bit of food on the plate and that's why we come back year after year. Thank you again for a wonderful evening, we'll be back!
The staffs were welcoming and caring. Some of them made jokes, and quite interactive. We had the tasting menu, all of them are very nice. Staffs made good recommendations on wine/ drinks. The atmosphere was nice. They made the old building warm and cozy with nice lighting. We were introduced with a booklet that it was a girl school gym. Dietary restrictions: Some of us does not prefer duck liver form the tasting menu, and they offered us an asparagus dish.
Thoroughly enjoyed the summer tasting menu with wine pairing, which was exceptionally good value Service was exemplary from the minute we walked through the door. A couple of the wine pairings didn’t quite work for me, but I enjoyed the wines without the food The only dish I was unsure about was the dessert, the liquorice ice cream didn’t work with the Amalfi lemon tart for me. However the ‘take on a cassoulet’ was very very good, if only I could make sauces like that To make it perfect, the wines should have been poured in larger glasses, which they did for us, once I asked. The small glasses were killing the aromas of the wines and the white wines were served way too cold, but that’s a common complaint of mine! But all in all we had a wonderful time, and it’s such a beautiful venue
Excellent place to celebrate my partner's birthday. Fabricio, Valeriano i hope i have recorded the staff names correctly, apologies, if not and the rest of the team made our experience fantastic from the moment we entered the beautiful, historic building. We felt truly special and taken care of. Food was without doubt delicious, presented beautifully, served graciously explaining all the detail around it. The sommelier suggested a beautiful sparkling wine, excellent to my liking, we did not regret the choice. My partner was positively surprised when the desert with a candle arrived, such a sweet touch and subtle presentation. Everyone made sure that we have the best time, I would not hesitate to going back again and recommending this restaurant. We particularly enjoyed the smooth cooperation between everyone on the floor, everything was orchestrated so well, and we could also see the chefs in the kitchen via the small window, which was quite nice. To all the staff on Sunday: Thank you a million for making our little celebration so beautiful and enjoyable! You truly are a special place and fantastic people.
What a great place!! The location is amazing and the service spectacular! We went for ‘summer taste’ menu and it was spectacular! The menu was well balanced with very different flavours from plate to plate, the sommelier was super nice and very attentive. What a great place to enjoy a Michelin star dinner in a beautiful setting with outstanding service!
The lighting may just be a little too bright but that's a personal preference. The tables are close to each other so conversations are open to all ears. Food and service was good with room for improvement being a Michelin 1 star. Nice experience and would recommend to try at least once.Food: 4/5
Have just visited this restaurant, for the three course menu, purchased as a gift. Have visited many restaurants both in London and elsewhere, including one last night. In summary, this experience was first class. Excellent service, fantastic host Daniella thanks for storing our bags and excellent food. All dishes very well balanced, excellent in flavour and fantastically presented. Exceptional value and a great wine to boot! Thanks so much and keep up the great work. Ps the building is incredible also.
