Luc Brasserie

About

Looking for an escape from London? Come to Luc’s Brasserie, a lively taste of Paris in the historic and beautiful Leadenhall Market. www.lucsbrasserie.com

Story

Luc's Brasserie does what generations of politicians have generally failed dismally to do, namely bring the English and the French together into close proximity - and smile. The location for this superb achievement is none other than the historic and increasingly fashionable Leadenhall Market, with its picturesque cobbled walkways and Victorian architecture.
Luc's Parisian chic blends with precocious ease, offering food that is cosmopolitan and appealing. No French menu is complete without a boeuf bourguignon, or sauté de fois gras. And, we cannot forget the most fabled of French dishes, the famous escargots de Bourgogne, served with a succulent garlic butter.
Steaks feature strongly; all are served with oven-dried tomato, frites and sauces au poivre or béarnaise. Chateaubriand for two invariably makes the best of the cut as well as rolling nicely off the tongue when ordering. Top it all off with a flavorful wine selected from a wide selection of fine Gallic wines.
For lunch, dinner, or a glass of wine with a plate of charcuterie in the evening, Luc’s Brasserie is a lively little London escape to a Parisian gastronomic haven.

Exceptional food. Great customer service. A delightful way to spend an afternoon.
Small, busy brasserie. Little tricky to find, small side door near pizza express. Steep flight of stairs. Good selection of French food well presented and served.. House white was very reasonable. Staff are good but would not describe as warm and friendly.
This place is easy to miss as it's above the market and the entrance is fairly non-descript. The fix Prix menu was very generous, reasonably priced and very tasty. Service was excellent- discrete and attentive $$ for cost.
Good food and great and friendly sevice
Succulent food, great béarnaise. Nice and friendly staff
Great, friendly service and delicious classic French dishes in an unpretentious environment. Parfait!
Luc's Brasserie is a beautiful French restaurant serving stunning food, a must visit in a truly historical part of London, Leadenhall Market.
Love the decor, French chic and ambience envelops this place but it gets far too crowded and then that's when the food suffers. That was not a good steak, far from it and it had to go back which I hate doing but it was very very below medium Moo
Good food, service a bit amateur.
The atmosphere was really energetic and interesting at Luc's, however be prepared to scale a lot of stairs to get to your table. The olives were delicious, however my steak was overdone and quite chewy.
