Very nice restaurant located inside the Royal exchange, which is a gorgeous building by bank station which people tend to confuse with the Bank of England. We visited with a three course deal, which also includes a glass of bubbles, that is advertised in book a table. The quality of the meal was very good, the mushrooms soup and the liver entries were very good, the pork was also very good, the cod was a little bit plain for my taste, but I like strong flavours, so I might be biased. Desert were alright, we had the cheese with pears which was a little disappointing, and the chocolate dessert which was very sweet. Service was a little bit slow at the beginning but overall it was good. Recommended to visit it with the deal.
Delicious food in a fantastic setting. Fixed price menu at lunch time is £20 for two courses or £25 for 3. Had a potato mouse and tuna starter served cold but exceptionally tasty and cod with green cabbage and pomegranate and ice cream with mocha poured over it. My only two grumbles - portions could be larger but the execution makes up for this and service was a little disjointed with us having to prompt for the dessert menu and bill.
Always one of our favourite restaurants, it hasn't dropped it's standards in the 5 years since we were last in london. Interesting varied menu, very well cooked and presented in one of the best city building views going. Try the set menu for value and then add a cheese course from the a la carte, and Rebecca and Luca were very attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive. Perfect
Food is not really good. I took the stuffed potato and the duck carbonara, I would not advice them. Way too salty. On the positive side, The gjanduja dessert was pretty good but the rum baba was not, too sweet. Gin Cocktails are really good though.
Great atmosphere and I love the architecture this place has history, the restaurants are good but not amazing deff worths a visit if you are showing people around London it has a nice bar area too.
Really good food and using good quality produce. However definitely on the small side in terms of main, definitely need sides. Service was also good.
Slightly odd location a mezzanine overlooking a central space. Food was good, but not outstanding. Service is excellent.
Beautiful setting, but too stuffy and no atmosphere. Better restaurants in the city for the price such as 1 Lombard and Angler...
By far the best place to eat in or around the Royal Exchange. Prices are, unfortunately, geared to the corporate purse, but then that's where they get their clientele.
Lovely place for an up-scale lunch. Excellent service and superb set menu.
