First Breakfast in London, i like the way London welcomed me. Paul’s was a lovely little cafe which offers a wide variety of lunch and pastry ideas. The service was speedy and friendly. Food was incredible. I highly recommend this place.
There are no more omelets, and the drinks take a long time to be ready. Everything becomes a mess and cold. The pastries are beautiful, order to go, I was not in mood after try the sandwiches that were not good at all. The sandwiches are beautiful but not tasty. I do not know how they got 4.2 here, because it is far away from good service or good food!
Paul’s was a lovely little cafe which offers a wide variety of lunch and pastry ideas. I had a chicken & pepper baguette with a raspberry macaroon for lunchtime dessert. The team are very friendly, and it’s an all round lovely pit stop for a busy day in London. Little on the pricier side but still a pleasant trip!
Very welcoming and friendly place. We enjoyed the beautiful decor with good coffee and delicious cakes. The background music is perfect and adds to the already great atmosphere.
So, another day, another excuse to find somewhere nice to eat and drink tea of course! Like many places, most people have a tendency to window shop and say ‘that looks nice, I should come back and try it out’. I have lost count of the number of times I have done this myself. Today I didn’t . I was wandering around Covent Garden at 8.15am as you do!! and spotted ‘Paul’ was open. I have walked past this establishment on a number of occasions thinking ‘that looks rather nice’ without coming in. Today I had no excuse, and as on other occasions, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are welcoming, polite and very professional. They didn’t even blink an eyelid when I brought my service dog in with me. Brilliant !!! The pastries and other food looks and tastes amazing and Pippa the dog and myself throughly enjoyed the turkey ‘sausage’ roll, although as the assistant warned, it was extremely sweet. The apple turnover was also extremely nice. The place itself was extremely relaxing and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I think the only thing was slightly out of place was the Hawaiian version of ‘Jingle Bells’ blaring out in the background, but that was only one small objection to an otherwise very enjoyable experience. I do like independent coffee/tea shops, but this is really worth a visit.
Big fan of Paul's and this is a great example. Don't be put off by the current exterior scaffolding inside the food is excellent. Custard pies were a huge success. Flat white also excellent and definately a good one for the coffee lovers. Kid friendly also
We ordered a big breakfast for two and the tea was extremely hot, but the main issue is that the croques with cheese we had, the waiter told us that the cannot warm it, so we ate them cold from the fridge. I would recommend the place as they have good assortment but the waiter is rude and that sandwich requires to be eaten at least warm in my opinion
Friendly staff. Great food and the decor is great. Hopefully they will fix the marks of water leak on the ceiling and walls. I love the pastries here . I will always come back for more.
Paul is supposedly a French bakery where you can either buy food from the counter for takeaway or sit and enjoy their offerings in place. We decided to try their big macarons for takeaway. While putting them in a box the member of staff broke one of the macaroons with the tongues but didn't even apologise, considering you pay £4 per macaron you would expect them to be perfect. Taste-wise they weren't anything spectacular, definitely have tried better, Laduree for example.
Cake and hot chocolate was really nice however my experience was ruined by the waiter who decided to clean the table while I was still sitting at it. Made me feel like it was a hint for me to leave as the waiter sprayed antibacterial spray on the table, indirectly spraying my legs and then two other customers noticed and told the waiter it was very rude to clean a table that a customer was sitting at. I promptly left the cafe despite my original intention which was to meet a friend there. The waiter admitted to the two other customers that complained on my behalf that he understands their complaint but did not apologise to me. The cafe was also very empty so it seems odd that they were in a hurry to get me out.
