Galmpton Touring Park is an award winning family park in a stunning location catering exclusively for 120 touring caravans, tents and motorhomes. We also have two holiday lets for those who wish for a bit more luxury!

Story

Facing south and west we benefit from the sun from rise to set. Our two separate caravan and camping fields enjoy spectacular views of the River Dart. We offer a variety of pitches - electric, hard standings and fully serviced. Galmpton Touring Park is situated on the edge of the village of Galmpton only a short walk from the local shops which include a Post Office / general store, an excellent butcher and a country pub “The Manor” serving good food and fine ales.
We offer a quiet base from which families and couples can visit Torbay’s many attractions, explore the beautiful South Hams, or just sit back and enjoy the outstanding view.

Very welcoming staff, once we got our pitch details the wardens were waiting for us at our pitch and helped guide us in place. The weather wasn't brilliant so the grass was very boggy, it looks like red clay, we were fortunate to have an all weather pitch so it wasn't so bad. The facilities are very clean, the site is very quiet apart from the odd pheasant and the views are amazing across the site. Wifi signal across the site is brilliant.

This is our 2nd year here and love it . So much to see and do in such a short drive. The site itself is wonderful beautiful views. peaceful , away from it all. Would recommend the 1.5 hour river cruise to Dartmouth so much history very interesting then you get to come back great value. The steam trains are a must . Missing a little gem in my opinion

Stayed here for our summer hol this year. Pluses: great location just outside Brixham / Paignton .. as promised in the online brochure we had *beautiful* views over the River Dart, very friendly staff &a warm welcome, clean enough, no litter, play park for kids etc. Minuses: the slope on site is quite big (don't forget your levelling blocks & you may need to ask for a few extra bricks too ). The hard-standing pitches look pretty wrecked and could do with re-surfacing (grass pitches are fine). Biggest minus is the toilet/shower block - really quite dated & tired looking. The cubicles are very small & push-button showers just don't cut it for me these days: you have no control over the shower temperature, and if you are showering a kid, you have no choice but to get in the shower with them to help keep the button pushed (or get drenched trying). Not ideal. This may well be an award winning site, I'm just not sure which decade they won it in. It's a long way from being the worst site I've ever been on, but not the stand-out best either, hence the 4 stars.

Our first family camping holiday and with a three year old and 8 month old. Couldn't of been any better. What an amazing place. Just everything about the park is fantastic. From the girls in the office, Dave the handyman. The fantastic facilities and that unforgettable view. Can't wait to book next year's trip. Thank you for a great week.
