I telephoned this hotel yesterday to book a room for tomorrow night, only to be greeted by a telephone answering machine ! I left my contact details at the time but more than 24 hours have passed and no one has returned my call. Needless to say I have had to book a room at another hotel in the area. I view of the above, I will never contact or stay at this hotel ever again !
Nice very good and near to airport also ,Donner and chips next doorRooms: 5/5
Booked an overnight stay at this place and went to check in on the day of arrival. I was shocked to see the appalling state of the place. It was not fit for a hotel, let alone a dwelling place. I was told that there was a recent change in management and that the new owners were trying their best to refurbish the place. In fact I was very surprised that the place was left to operate in such a dreadful state. There were no bed covers, no towels in the showroom and electric sockets were covered. I ended up cancelling my booking and I am yet to be refunded my money by the online booking agent Agoda.com.
Absolutely revolting hotel... Do not, under any circumstances, stay in this horrible place. Cramped and dirty rooms, broken and dirty shower, electric sockets broken. The lights flickered and dimmed. The whole place reeks of curry, and the staff ignore you. I stayed for 3 nights of hell, the Hotel is situated down a dirty track with rubbish thrown about , it's right next to the airport and the A45. The noise levels are high, my room wasn't cleaned once, the towels were not changed. Don't be tempted by the price. They are over charging. I felt like I should be paid to stay here. I repeat. Do not stay here.
For price, this hotel is difficult to beat. I arrived, check-in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a late check in for a different stay and they were able to accommodate me. There was hot water, towels and everything you needed for a basic night's sleep. Parking is free - just check your car in at the front desk. And remember to bring some ear plugs as it can get quite noisy.
The customer service was great. My room was really cold the first night and when I told them they sorted the heater and gave me an electric heater as well It is next to a road and doesn't have double glazing so you can head traffic. Basically if you need to be in the area and want somewhere cheap to stay it is great choice. If you are use to normal hotels with matching furniture then you might want to think twice. By the last night I was happy I had picked there to stay. Even though I felt very differently the first night hahaha
So I would stay here again, owner is great. Hotel is being done up currently. However for the price of the room you cant complain. Everything clean and tidy.
I'm not sure about you but if my room had a fly infestation I wouldn't want to stay there, unluckily for me and my friend we paid before arriving and the reason why is obvious now, if I hadn't paid I would have rather stayed in the car! Not just flies both dead and alive but the ladybugs too, clearly the room hadn't been cleaned in a while, that or our hosts decided against clearing out the insects and thought the guests deserved too see the impressive amount of insects they hadn't removed. In conclusion if you despise a good night's sleep then please book here.
Location was excellent for working in Birmingham, and would be ideal for the airport which was just across the road. The hotel is a little dated but comfortable, and the hosts were most welcome and could not do enough to help make your stay the best. You have to go round a loop to get to the entrance, along a tiny lane, but this is not an issue, just not expected. Exit is very straightforward. Would recommend the hotel for an overnight stop for business, but not sure about anything longer for a leisure break, unless they spend some time and money on the bits I saw.
You get what you pay for; nothing more, nothing less. For short stays, this is a hotel i would stay in again. For longer stays, i would find an alternative - we struggled to sleep but got enough to function during our short stay. Pros: Friendly and attentive service. Off street parking. Very clean. Convenient location for the airport and NEC arena. Warm. Cons: Sockets hanging off the walls. Beds were well worn dips in the middle where people had been lying on it, single thin pillow.
