Traditional British pub in a fantastic lye scenic Yorkshire location. Warm and cozy, just like the welcome from staff and locals. Very good selection of home cooked food. No formula based food. Very good quality food cooked perfectly. Generous portion sizes too. Very highly recommended.Service: 5/5
We went in for a light lunch and a drink. We both had chicken tandoori wraps and they were to die for. The inn is welcoming and very comfortable, the staff are excellent. We couldn't fault it and would thoroughly recommend it. The actual Sunday lunches looked amazing. There was a great choice of beers ,wines and spiritsService: 5/5
Visited whilst we were holidaying at the local camp site. Lovely real fire going when we visited on a very wet Friday tea time. They're dog friendly but the regulars are not so which spoilt it a bit. Can't comment on the food as we never went back.
Great place to eat, food is magnificent, staff friendly and the chef is a keeper. Ate there twice during our recent stay in the area and have no complaints. No food served on a Monday and Tuesday so plan your visit.Service: 5/5
No frills kind of place that serves superb burgers including gluten free option. Plenty of other gluten free options across the menu. Friendly staff too. Only criticism is that the only GF dessert on option was icecream, but we didn't have room for dessert anyway! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
This was a lovely relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and the food was pretty good. A good selection on the menu. The accomadation we booked was a twin room which was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was brilliant and lots of choice. Highly recommended very good value for money. A great b n b pub walking distance to Robin Hoods Bay and the beautful scenery . Thanks
We had a meal tonight for our 31st Wedding Anniversary. The meal was beautiful. The service was great and the banter was fun and friendly. Thank you again for the two bottles.Service: 5/5
Great pub with proper pub grub. Sunday roasts were so good we had to check out if it was a one-off. It wasn't & will be back next holiday.Service: 5/5
Nice cosy pub, just a shame the blonde barmaid who was on duty didn't really make it so friendly. Also struggled to look away from her phone, even when ordering a drink! Think you need to work on your customer skills. Voted with our feet and went somewhere else the next night.Service: 1/5
Last time I had a Sunday Roast it was excellent. This time it was even better!! Can't fault it for quality, quantity and price. Choice of beers and service is always good. I haven't given 5 because Gents toilets have needed some attention for over five years.Service: 5/5
