Furniture Village Norwich

We had a very disappointing visit to Furniture Village in Ipswich whilst looking for leather sofas. We loved the product so my husband telephoned the Norwich store and spoke to Brandon. This young man could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. We visited the Norwich store the next day and not only did Brandon sell us 2 leather sofas but a new mattress for our bed. Thank you Brandon, your help and advice were invaluable.

Zombie was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us to buy our sofa. He is also very polite and not pushy. The coffee and cookies were very nice too.

Well what can we say. Thank you Christopher Brown, you are a true gentleman, a credit to your profession. If there were more lovely people like you in this world it would be a much nicer place to live in. We will definitely be back to see you to finish our home. Stay safe, Jane and Andy Brooks.

Although sceptical about some chain retailers, Furniture Village, is a family owned firm. It showed. My initial contact was in the Cambridge branch, where the helpfulness of the salesman was impressive. Returning nearer home, I made a telephone enquiry which was answered competently by Helen Petrie. A subsequent visit in person to the shop was equally as useful. We examined the furniture, sat on it & outlined our needs. Helen listened attentively, responded appropriately, and left us alone to finalise the decision on colour & fabric. She was well-acquainted with the product range & this showed in her ability to answer questions. The product sold itself, but Helen added information which was useful. It was an expensive purchase but we are pleased that the buying process was so easy. Helen has had a long career in retail & her professionalism & competence shone through. We are pleased to recommend Helen, & Furniture Village has a pleasant atmosphere to make a major purchase.

I am very pleased with the service that furniture village in Norwich has provided. At the store, Zoubie has been so helpful and friendly and was very nice to my 2 children as well. At times, when we come in with queries regarding our purchase, although he was busy, he made sure we were looked after while waiting for him. Always offering a drink, coffee and tea, juice for the children and chocolate cookies, which my children loved. It is not easy looking at furnitures when you have restless 3 and 6 year olds, but Zoubie made it easier. And he never made us felt ignored. We bought the merlin dining set and sideboard, and came again to purchase the Perth slider wardrobe, with our welcome discount. The wardrobe took sometime to arrive, as it was meant to be delivered just before Christmas. I understood this might not happen, what with Brexit and Christmas deliveries etc, so I wasn’t too bothered when it came a week after the new year. However, I was utterly disappointed when the mirror was cracked when it arrived. I already knew it was going to be another 6 weeks before I can complete my dressing room. I contacted the store and my call was answered by the lovely Nicky. She got straight on the phone with the supplier, when we hung up, and called me back immediately to let me know it will take 4 to 6 weeks. I thought that was the end of our communication, but instead, Nicky called me on week 4 or 5, to say that she had not forgotten me and written in her diary to keep me in the loop. I absolutely appreciate that. At the end of 6 weeks, the delivery company sent me an email and I picked a delivery date. Wardrobe is finally fitted and I am so happy with the purchase. I did not expect, the next day, Steve contacted me, and asked me if the delivery and fitting went alright. He said that Nicky had left in her diary to check with me, and I am so happy he did. Thank you furniture village and thank you Zoubie, Nicky and Steve in Norwich, for a wonderful shopping experience.

We visited The furniture village on Saturday and back again on Sunday to purchase our settee’s. David was very professional and full of knowledge. Very pleased with the service we received.

We were looked after by Shane Burgess who was very helpful and knowledgeable. We have ordered a new bed and mattress and sofa and chair. Our experience so far has been very positive.

We just paid four thousand pounds for two two seater sofa and they are already sagging and the material has stretched. We have only been using them for TWO WEEKS!!!!! The advice from the Norwich store was to make sure I dress them everyday. I have arthritis in both hands and I'd like to know how you plump up foam!!!!! They sent a so called furniture expert round who pumeled the seat and arm to Plump them up. He took photos before and after. He said he couldn't guarantee they wouldn't get any worse and advised we sat in different seats everyday so they looked the same. Who sits on different seats in their own home. In short furniture village have sold us inferior product not fit for purpose. They didn't tell us any if this would happen when we bought the sofas. We were robbed.

Sofa failed after a year. Thought furniture came with a warranty. Emailed Norwich branch with details and photos. Norwich were not interested and totally ignored it. In the end had to get it repaired privately. Don't fall for any promises of warranties!
