Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Food was off good quality, delicious and big portions.
An unexpectedly good find on Maidenbower. A family friendly pub with great food lunch around £10 with drink and really nice relaxed atmosphere, lovely service from Joanna. Highly recommend
Was very hesitant to visit today after my cousin suggested we go having been twice before and been left bitterly disappointed. Well I'm so glad my cousin talked me round. From the moment we walked in I could see and feel it was under new management. What a welcome! Nothing was too much trouble and the Manager himself Thomas who served me was so warm and friendly. The fresh mulled wine was gorgeous, and the food was outstanding. The barman was polite and very professional also. We shall definitely return soon. If you've not been recently, please visit. The turnaround is something else! Thanks guys. And Thomas my miniature Tribute hat is wonderful
Came with a friend and have to say we weren't disappointed. The food was great and the service we received from Draimon was brilliant. He was able to advise us on what was good and as half the party was Muslim, was able to ensure everything ordered fell within what they could and couldn't eat. Not many places or staff are considerate like that. Will definitely be back
Nice place, food was great and staff were lovely.
Looks a lively pub I sidexand out. Food is nor as good as ant other Ember Inn that we have been in, portion sizes smaller too. 5 or 6 draft beers but only 2 available. On the plus side the chips were very good
I didn't have a good dinner today. I don't think my rump steak had an upgrade to double the size. The doneness of the rump steak was not as ordered. I ordered "Medium" and got "dead - WELL, WELL DONE". The bread with garlic and cheese was served after asking twice and waiting about 20 minutes. The dessert needs another 10-15min. I am very upset and will not eat here a second time. It made me suspicious because I had to pay at the beginning. Now I know why! The overall performance was very poor.
We went this evening very busy but the service was amazing and the food was just great! My husband had the ribs and said they was the best he has ever had! Lovely to see it back to where it used to be busy with great service great food and a good selection of ale
Very friendly staff, Tomak and Winston were very attentive. The food was great just a shame they didn’t have Sunday roast. Staff took time to chat and really couldn’t have been any nicer
Went today for Sunday roast. Certainly nothing special, roast potatoes were more like boiled, meat wasn’t hot enough and ‘fresh vegetables’ were obviously frozen from a packet! Dessert of apple crumble pie was more like a child’s portion. One till not working so slow service. All in all very disappointing first visit and won’t be returning.
