I can't even explain the sh*t show that was this morning. Google opening times 10am, got there at 10:45 and doors were locked. Member of staff who was litter picking in car park saw me standing outside so approached and said she'd check with staff inside. They had "forgotten" to unlock the doors and I was told no breakfast until 11am? Why announce 10am opening to sit around for an hour with locked doors?? We entered and not one member of staff greeted us despite them standing at bar so we took a seat outside. At 11am I went in, again ignored, eventually a girl with dark hair in a winning the pooh Tshirt asked what I wanted...ERM service???...I asked if we could order food and was told they were doing breakfast for half hour then lunch from 11:30? Given the morning menu which states until noon so again that's incorrect. Went outside to choose then when I came back no staff in sight then the first lady approached again and had to find staff to serve me. When trying to order the member of staff, who isn't new, couldn't find anything on the tills so took a while to process. I asked for their bloomer bread on the menu, 2 slices and instead got served 2 lots wasn't told one portion was 2 slices and as shown in pics, definitely NOT bloomer bread. My friends scrambled egg looked questionable and £1 for 1 had brown as an extra? Customer service was absolutely shocking apart from the first lady who was actually helpful and friendly and had to not only unlock doors but then take our order when we were left standing at the bar. Bring back the grey haired man and shorter dark haired girl who actually paid attention to customers. Food pictured came to £13.
We booked heathy farm for my fathers wake. The staff at heathy farm went above and beyond to make that sad day special. A big thank you to all the staff and management for all that you did on the Wednesday 8th of March 2023. dads 3 sons Malc/Trev/Jeff.
Friendly pub and excellent service. Love the beers.
Food is very quickly served here and I have no complaints beer is good good brand
Could not fault this place at all. We booked a table for 7, 4 adults 1 being a celiac and 3 children 1 having a milk allergy and all under 4 We had a room almost completely to ourselves for the entire duration of our meal, Riley was our waiter and was just impeccable, so polite, so knowledgeable, friendly, understanding, attentive and a really lovely young lad. Nothing was any trouble for him, he interacted with the kids and checked on us very regularly. He helped us navigate the allergies and even made suggestions on food choices. The meal was very nice, didn't do the roast on a Sunday but all our meals were lovely. Would highly recommend to anyone especially if you have anyone in your party with an allergy, but in general it was a brilliant place for a lunch with the family. If the weather had been better the large children's area would have been ideal too. Literally nothing negative to say
Food is good here, not the best but good enough to eat when you aren't up for cooking. We ordered the trio roast. The beef Lasagna and a kids fish fingers, chips and peas. Children's menu doubls up as an activity sheet which is a nice touch! And the food is great they offer to the children also able to order a child's Sunday roast they have the options for little bites and larger bites 3 fish fingers to 4 fish fingers my daughter saying they are the best! The roast wasn't the greatest, roasties came delivered still pale and not as crispy as we would like but that is personal taste! The half of apple served was a great touch. And the gravy is fantastic. The lasagna tasted incredible, however the wine in the sauce could have done with more of a boil as I was still able to taste and smell the wine that being said it was still really tasty, and went down nice and smoothly. I could imagine if you didn't like Wine it may leave you a little disappointed. Lovely environment in this pub with it mostly having family's around eating and chatting. Staff are lovely and do their best to help you in anyways they can! It can seem a little crowed, having a pushchair or pram leaves you limited on where you can sit with the baby being accessible. Over all the place is lovely!
We visited a couple of days ago, Saturday, for some lunch. We were met at the door and given the choice of a few tables. After a few minutes, our drinks order was taken, and then our food order a short while later. I had the Olde Trip ale, which was really good, and my wife and son had a soft drink. For our meals, I had chicken and ham hock pie, my wife had scampi and my son had sausage and mash. All were hot and freshly cooked and very tasty! For dessert, we had 2 Bakewell tarts and a chocolate brownie. The staff were very friendly and efficient and looked after us very well. We will certainly come here again.
We held my daughters wake here, the temperature outside was 1degree, the same as in the marque we used. The heating didn’t work sufficiently and we spent all the time with our coats on. They said they are getting new heaters but this didn’t help us on the day, so please check everything. The food was great, shame about the heating in the marquee
Very friendly staff, food was lovely and good value for money. Very helpful with my allergy. Highly recommend.
Fab. Haven't been there for a number of years. Typical pub but a lovely varied menu. Good friendly service. Food was delicious. Sea bass and scallop risotto
