Accompanied my partner here. If anyone is curious about Freemasonry then it is a great insight. The building inside is absolutely stunning. On a normal day there are guided tours. If you wish to see something different then a visit here is worth it.
Nice hall for graduation, easy to get lost and if you do, they suggest you go back outside and come back in through the main entrance. The cafe does not have a lot of space so need to reserve some seats early if coming with the whole family. By 9:30 all of the spaces were filled with a huge queue.
The Freemason muesum Is a nice place to visit the nearest tube station Covent Garden roads nearby Druy Lane & Long Acre I chose to visit on a Saturday, no waiting time, but I did manage to arrive a little early before the museum open. No problem I direct to the coffee tea area, by reception security, which had bar The wasn't open as it was 10am any check the time table to find out what's open You can look around the museum and take photos of the library area The Kent room You could look into the room but was able to get in, so you had to look at it from behind a barrier You are encouraged to buy user guides, which explains what you are viewing the bonus perk is you get to go into the grand hall It cost £5 for the add extra to be fair getting the guide was worth the money if not for you no problem but you won't be able to enter into the hall you are give a pass where touch to gain entry The hall is quite spectacular to view I did notice some people Didn't have a user guide And still got in to be fair. I wasn't bothered as it's nice to be guided to explain what you are viewing It took me two hours to look around as I enjoyed taking photos Most people it should take 1 or 45 minutes depending on how you view the muesum I would recommend that it's a free place to look around. Please check what's at the Freemason muesum & Hall
Beautiful Art Deco building, built as a memorial to the fallen in the First World War. The museum has a number of very interesting artifacts, but take the tour to get the most out of it. The Grand Lodge room and the rooms leading to it are very impressive. There’s a shop as well, which is strong for books on freemasonry.
An art deco masterpiece just 5 minutes walk from Holborn station. Open to the public. Visit the Freemason Museum free and relax with a coffee in the cafe. Even better, book a tour. Fantastic architecture. Friendly staff. You won’t be disappointed. Recommended.
Worthwhile doing the Grand Temple tour which also covers the museum. Interesting and informative
Great experience and privilege to see the most respectable organization and see the massive master piece collections kept here. Audio guide is a must.
This building is absolutely stunning! The Black Cab Tours www.theblackcabtours.co.uk dropped us off outside on the way back to our hotel and we had a fantastic time. The museum was fascinating and I was so surprised at the history. Great wee cafe too. Lovely staff. Something very different and unusual but well worth it.
Used it as a Christmas party venue in 2023. Amazing! Well staffed, beautiful inside and the nibbles were amazing - although the fish pie didn't go down well at a party...
The most stunning Art Deco architecture. It was almost overwhelming. From the foyer to the concert hall the architecture was overwhelming Saw a Carol concert here- acoustics were excellent too!
