If your looking for a combination of Thai food and a hidden country pub along with country pub atmosphere then your definitely want to check out this hidden gem. Not only do the hosts make you feel welcome and take the time to sit down with you, making you feel right at home when you walk through the door. The Thai food just wow, and will be tailored to your spice comfort zone. You can then wash it down with something refreshing, the pub has a selection of beers, wines and spirits to choose from. Very friendly pub, they do amazing Thai food here, which lots of choices, you can opt for mild or spicy. The landlords are so lovely and make you feel at home straight away. They often hold events. They did a soap box race this summer. They have a bingo night and raffle on the first Thursday of each month.
Lovely oldy worldy pub. Lovely friendly staff gorgeous food really homemade tasting cant wait to go back for Sunday roast. Lemon meringue cheesecake was delicious too. Out door areas, free table football. Currently having work done so quite a small area for parking but dont let this put you off.

Would not recommend. Previous reviews may have been good however when we went they were serving Thai food. Starters were ok, mains less so, meat was dry and pre cooked, definately not cooked fresh and the sauces were just poured over the dishes. Shame it does not give an option to respond back to your reply so I'll add it here. Surely when a customer leaves almost their entire meal it indicates something is wrong. As for the chicken it was most certainly not sliced into thin strips and coming from a catering background myself I could tell the meat had been pre cooked. Maybe it was because you shut the pub that day to go to the races which would explain the pre cooked food and because of the crowds from that outing that evening we couldnt get to the bar to complain and neither of the staff serving even bothered to ask.
A lovely traditional local pub. We visited here while staying in the local area and it served good pub food, we came on Steak Night Friday and thought it was excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and it was lovely to see a small village pub so busy.
Amazing local pub! My partner and I visited twice whilst visiting the area. The landlords were very friendly and welcoming making us feel at home right away. We had a full Sunday roast and puds during our second visit and the food was delicious with very generous portions. Prices were extremely reasonable and the pub is great value for money. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
Lovely dog friendly pub in a quiet village location with very hospitable owners. Serve good pub food with a number of Real Ales and ciders.
We are always guaranteed a friendly and warm welcome at the Fountain. The owners have created a lovely, homely environment with a fantastic choice of great value and tasty pub grub. They also have a little shop which is extremely handy!
This pub is a little gem in the Golden Valley. Exactly everything you imagine a local country pub to be. All are welcome here..dogs, children and even grownups! The staff are welcoming and go out of their way to please. I wish I lived closer I would definitely be a familiar face propping up the bar. I highly recommend a visit, check the opening times to avoid disappointment.
