Sunday lunch was superb This is a “must do” restaurant !! The meats were so succulent and tender - we tried pork loin and beef Both amazing! The beef was soft and pink and the veg selection was lovely too - very generous portions of meat and fabulous gravy! Perfect starters and desserts and the wine complimented the meal very well. An espresso martini finished it all off perfectly Andrew is a wonderful host and we will definitely be back soon! Thank you
Wonderful little pub with an absolutely beautiful menu that changes regularly. One of the nicest meals we have ever had, and brilliant service all round too. We cannot wait to return when we are next in the area. Perfect for a special occasion, they deserve a Michelin star
Tom and Andrew have done a great job! Friendly service, lovely ambiance and the food is excellent. A bit more expensive than your average pub, but then again this isn't just average pub food. Well worth a look for a special occasion
Great food, definitely not your usual pub menu, and the same warm welcome that we always received from the previous owners. Can't wait to go back.
Small and intimate dining area in a beautiful village pub. Friendly and quick service. Super food and would highly recommend.
Had a wonderful Christmas meal for our family of ten this lunchtime. Andrew made the experience very special, being attentive but not pushy. Having a room to ourselves meant we could totally relax, especially with a baby. The food was lovely and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend this lovely pub and will certainly be visiting again
It's not often that I say that everything was perfect about the Sunday lunch, but here everything was perfect. The food was spot on the wine was excellent and the hospitality first class. I just wish we lived a little closer to here.
What a find! The most welcoming staff are attentive without being intrusive. A great pre Christmas Sunday lunch spread over several hours. Delicious and good value.
*amended review*- change of ownership calls for a new review. Wow. The new owners of this pub are smashing it! We visited for a Sunday roast and were not disappointed. The pub is cosy with great friendly village vibes. They’re dog friendly in all areas of the pub which is brilliant as we’re always after great places to eat where we can take our dog along with us. The food is just amazing - they’ve recently changed ownership and even though the food before was hearty and crowd pleasing, the menu now is interesting, delicious and that of a top London restaurant so it’s definitely been a successful change in our opinion! Can’t wait to return.
Tiny old pub with small rooms and very low ceilings. The lunch time menu is very limited but the food was good and the staff very very friendly. It is as cliche but we will go back again.
