Very small venue but it has its charm! Went to see Goldust band on a Saturday, people were Merry and the gig was fun!
Stumbled across this little gem last week. Popped in for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Such a nice pub with a lot of character, staff where really friendly too. I would definitely recommend the food, the home made pie with creamy mash and the Korean burger is a MUST.. Will definitely be returning.
Friendly people, good beers, we watched Champions League final match Juventus 1 Real Madrid 4. I will remember for the rest of my life.
We've been there on a Friday night. Great selection of cask ales and keg beers, good wine available too. We came at around 11 p.m. and were the last customers to leave. Absolutely lovely atmosphere, quiet at that time, good place to have a pint and chat - no loud music. The bartender or perhaps he was the publican and his girlfriend are wonderful people. Excellent pub overall - very impressed!
A great venue for live music, perfectly good sound proofing enabling a loud rock band downstairs and an acoustic act in the bar to be enjoyed without overspill. Whether the theatre upstairs got the requisite level of silence I don't know, but I think it's great this venue makes the effort to welcome diverse artists like this - definitely worth checking out, they deserve every success. Cheers!
Go here often, the beer is great, the atmosphere is great and the bar staff are really great and very accommodating. If you live locally make this your local! Also, good pizza place next door, you can go order the pizza and eat it in the pub.
Cool pub with good selection of ales, stouts above average for craft beer choices and spirits. Really friendly staff and a room downstairs with a stage where they do live music on Fridays. Music wise it's not my scene, but I've always found it entertaining and non-judgy.
Went here after a quick Google search for a nice craft beer place..they have punk ipa in bottles and that's about it. Food wise well what I can I say, avoid at all costs and get a bag of crisps if you are hungry. Everything was overcooked or burnt, they got the order wrong twice and over charged us, even when we pointed this out - twice it still took some doing to get the correct amount charged. On the only plus side the staff were very nice. Just sack the chef and learn some maths and the place will be great.
Sadly had to turn the coach load of people round as the gig last night was cancelled last minute due to some band members bring under 18. I don't know any pub they've played in so far that have not let them play till now. Not sure who organised it but such a shame. Great bands to.
Stopped in here on a weekday afternoon to kill some time, and was really impressed. Very good beer selection and a great space for a pub. Bartender was really nice and accommodating. I would definitely come again if I find myself back in the area.
