Fantastic pub for lunch or dinner we had both, visited twice. Staff were lovely and welcoming, food was traditional and impeccably executed, and decor was quintessentially English pub! An absolute must to visit!Food: 5/5
£8 for a ‘sausage roll’. The bar manager was not pleasant either.Food: 2/5
Nice Pub food, nice location. Some seat are very cool. Wasn't that clean that evening and the service was kind of grumpy. But may be it was an exceptionFood: 4/5
Great pub near to Gloucester Road tube. 5 screens showing sport, one of them very big. Food was very good quality for what was a quiet day. Bar staff service was really excellent with on more than one occasion bringing drinks to the table rather than waiting at the bar. Interior is homely and well decorated. Two tables roadside if you want to be in the sun.
Jennifer, Ieva & Maria provided excellent service and the scotch egg was delicious!Food: 5/5
Stopped in for a pint and had a really great time! The atmosphere was perfect, super chill but not sleepy with a great playlist. Our bartender Sam was great! Very friendly and easy to talk to. We’ll definitely be coming back here!Food: 5/5
Decent Young's pub not far from Gloucester Road Underground Station. Two cask beers on handpump when I visited. Some outdoor seating.Service: 5/5
Gloucester Road  £5.80 Pravha A warm and welcoming good all rounder. . The Duke of Clarence is located on busy Old Brompton Road where South Kensington meets Earls Court. The nearest tube is Gloucester Road which is a five minute walk. . This pub was built in 1870 by Trumans. The pub has had a couple of interesting names over the years like ‘The Great British Beer Factory’ and ‘The Bram Stoker’, the famous author was a resident of these parts. . The decor here is traditional with some contemporary touches here and there. The walls are painted in a dark green and are covered in an eclectic mix of artwork and pictures. There is plenty of seating which is predominantly all low level, I sat on one of the comfy banquettes which are illuminated by beautiful pendant lights. There are some nice other features like the green tiled columns and the backlit bookcase. . The beer selection was good and included cask ale. I opted for a pint of Pravha, my pint great if a little lively and cost less than six quid. As this was my last pub of the day, I decided to have some Fish & Chips from the classic British pub grub menu. I really enjoyed the food, price point was £17.50. If you visit on a Sunday, the roast diners here receive rave reviews. . I visited around 4pm on a dank Saturday afternoon back in January. The atmosphere was relaxed, calm and the pub was warm and cosy. The bar wasn’t overly busy with half a dozen or so punters in. There was a couple with their brown Labrador, an American couple and a fella sat at the bar with his earbuds in having a bit of a ding dong with whoever was on the other end. The pub was easy to settle in to and I watched a bit of the rugby on one of the five screens. On that note, if you like your footy, the pub shows live Premier League. . @thedukeofclarence was a nice visit and I very much enjoyed my time here. My pint was great and I really enjoyed the food. The setting is traditional and you felt you were in a proper pub. If you’re a sports fan, you’ll be well catered for too. a good all rounder this, definitely worth a visit. . ℹ Info correct on visiting 07.01.23
What a lovely little pub with wonderful staff and the service is on point the food is great but the star of the show it a perfect spot to watch sport Dietary restrictions: Dairy intolerant they are very accommodating and attentive for ppl with Intolerance
Fish and chips and the bangers and mash were good. Don’t get the meat sharers board - not worth £21 for a scotch egg, some pigs in blanket and a single chopped up sausage roll that all tasted like they’d been reheated.
