This pub has changed names so many times I'm never really sure what it's called these days, but it always seems to be roughly the same. Its location on a busy road I guess cuts out a lot of walk-in passing trade so I'm never surprised to see it rarely more than half-full. Some people enjoyed their meal (me included) but some others in our party were rather disappointed that the meal just did not match the description. A couple sat opposite sent back their food twice though I'm not sure what the issue was. The prices are just about fair, I feel. It is a lovely building so a pity that it just doesn't seem to attract the crowds.

Absolutely terrible. Took ages to get a drink at our table, then ages for our meal. The food was only aired and thing's were missing from 3 of the 4 meals. We had to ask for our table to be cleared. We asked for more drinks and the dessert menu. Ended up going to the bar for our drinks and complained that no-one had been for our dessert order. Then told us it would be 20 mins. No chocolate sauce on the brownie. Asked for some and they had none. So we refused that sweet. Very fed up by now. 2 and a half hours later we went to pay. It seemed excessive so asked to see the receipt. It had 3 drinks that we had not had, and the dessert that we sent back. £14 too much. What a farce. Could not have dreamt it up.

Changed branding a few weeks ago but has the same team working there who blame any issue on teething problems. Our experience was not good. Despite being nearly empty food wait was 40 minutes (although to be fair we were warned this was the case). Boasts three cask ales (although none were available). When food arrived it was warm rather than hot, the wife's sizzler has absolutely no 'sizz' about it and the hot plate could be safely touched giving us the impression it had been ready for some time before being brought to table. Having said all that prices are very reasonable, we might give it another go in a month or so and update review if it improves.

Very nice, quite a surprise when you walk through the door, its very well done with nice features. Food is good, staff very nice.

Decent food just had new owners and management plenty car park spaces food is average.
