Love the cocktails here, used to love the food but ive been a couple of times recently and it has gone downhill since it first opened.. The inside of the dumplings were inedible and I and the rest of our party weren't overly impressed with anything else we ate. Still friendly service & good music. Will continue to have drinks here
I've been here a couple times and the food has always been very good. If you like a bit of spice, this is a good place to go. The beef patties, for a starter, are delicious. I tried their chicken wings as well as a goat curry. The wings were tender, juicy and flavorful. The goat curry was very good. The meat was not tough, but tender and flavorful.
Very good service. Attentive staff. Good vibe, great posters and interior decor. Good music Good food, served well. Not the cheapest, but I'd still go again. Thanks Negatives... Given a soup spoon with my curry, should have been a dessert spoon. Bottled ginger beer not as good as Old Jamaica. Great experience.
Good vibes, decent food. I am from the Caribbean and for me the food was decent. Menu had varied and intersting options, creatively done and well thought about. Ambience was pretty authentic. Caribbean music played in background. Staff were friendly and polite. Restrooms were upstairs unless you want to use the one for wheelchair users that was a drawback.
The place is near to the market place and has good space for most group sizes or individuals. The food is good and mostly had chicken and ginger beer. The price is marginally higher to equivalent British restaurant but you would love the taste of spicey food served here.
Good food and service. It was just a shame some of the orders where messed up, but they were sorted out pretty quickly. Cocktails are great and 2-4-1 all day everyday Overall, I would recommend but only for small groups and couples.
Service very good food good but I am sure I did not get the correct sauce on my salmon it should have been creamy coconut but did not taste like it. To be fair they did offer to change it to plain. Would definitely go again and reccomend. The lime juice soft drink was very refreshing.
You always feel like you are in the Caribbean in this restaurant. Authentic tastes and the staff are attentive, plus they speak normally to you. Food was served at good times. We had the Beach Sharer, the meat just fell off the bone. Mains were the Goat Curry, my lips were tingling. Great atmosphere, great staff, fab food plus feeling like your in the Caribbean. Also reasonable prices. Will be back again.
Only ever been on a lunchtime so never overly busy, the dishes I've had have always been tasty and I do like the goat curry. Not massively spicy if you like your food with a kick.
Really nice staff. Made us feel welcome. Very good service. Great food like all Turtle Bay restaurants. This one is probably my favorite Turtle Bay out of all the ones I've dined at and I've been to Southampton, Milton Keynes, Preston and Nottingham
