Very good location, easy parking and next to a farm -hence the name- the restaurant / pub has a large beer garden and a playground for the little ones. Service was excellent, attentive and all the staff interacted very well with our children. The food was great, though the king prawn Thermidor had three king prawns and loads of baby shrimp ?. Nonetheless, it was delicious. Would definitely go back.
Fabulous restaurant hidden away from the masses. Lovely service, great decor, very tasty food. Not the cheapest, but this is definitely a case of 'getting what you pay for' 10/10.
Thought the chop might come with some vegetables but no, quite plain for £18. Tables were packed together also. It was OK but really didn't make me desperate to return.
Nice place and location. We had a group booking of around 16 people for a Sunday roast. Beef, potatoes, Yorkshire and gravy were decent but four of us had to share a small bowl of cooked veg so had to ration it! Dissapointed as the veg was pretty good too. You'd think with veg being the cheapest ingredient, you would be ample supplied.
Definitely not value for money. Booked for 7 in the restaurant for a birthday and ended up in the bar area. Worst mixed grills that we ever have had. Lamb shank had no vegetables with it. Was told after meal was delivered that we can pay extra for vegetables. But at that point didn’t want to wait for them to be cooked. All meals were bland, every part of the mixed grill were over cooked, could not even attempt to eat the pork chop as it was a shrivelled hard mess. Had about 10 chips with meals and 3 uncooked cherry tomatoes!!!! Not cheap for 7 of us and certainly not any value for money. Staff not interested when told about the food. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT GO BACK
We had a lovely meal and experience. We were treated very well and the quality of the food was very good. I'd not been for many years and wanted to revisit and I was not disappointed
Arrived at this pub and was sat down by the manager 5 people and a dog. After 45 mins I took the dog out for a walk on returning back to the table I was refused entry with the dog due to the dog not being allowed to be in the area the manager had sat us in. The staff behind the bar were extremely rude shouting no dogs you have to get into the bar!! I had to get all my stuff brought to me by family members. Started perfectly but the young girl and the mr bean looking chap serving need to sort their customer services skills out or find a different job shouldn’t be serving with that attitude.
6 of us dined here Saturday night . The food and service was excellent . Our experience was made even better by the waiter,Dillon . Such a happy , friendly man . We will return and recommend to our friends and family .
Lovely country pub in the village of Durley. Popped in for lunch whilst looking around the village reminiscing about holidays there with my grandparents in the 70's. Very nice food and local ale and all for a tenner. Hosts were most welcoming, would definitely recommend.
Lovely country pub, with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Lots of gf, df, veggie and vegan options as well. A little out of the way but worth a detour!
