It was a recommendation from our hosts. And we were really not disappointed. We were 2 adults and an 8 year old child. Absolutely family-friendly, really great. Great service, which started with the reservation. Top food and a cosy ambience. If we lived here, we would come more often. A little tip: it makes sense to reserve a table in advance.
Had an Excellent evening with colleagues. We were looked after by Mark and his team who ensured that we had constant flow of drinks and food come in at the right pace. As you can see food looked and tasted good.
Great food, staff, decor, space, service. Just a fantastic place. My husband is a fussy eater but he could not stop raving about the food. There is a play area for children, an outside pizza kitchen, dog friendly, the place is just perfect. If we lived locally we would be regulars. Well done to all staff. Chef deserves recognition.
Good service and the drinks were nice, but should be at £5.30 a pint Was told only side orders if we hadn't booked a table even though it was nowhere near full and only 3 on a Sunday, maybe they don't like bikers The menu seemed a bit steep, I mean £7 for vanilla ice cream Update Weirdest thing I've ever seen in a gents toilet Full baby changing changing station in the gents Not a separate room, right by the urinals
Lovely country pub, good selection of drinks. Very large child friendly beer garden at the front with pizza oven
Lovely Mothers day meal. Party of six and everybody loved their food. Great service, lovely staff. We will definitely return. Vegetarian options: Vegetable moussaka was fabulous
Great food and service but the lighting, at least where we sat, wasn't good. Bright spotlights made it feel like we were eating in an operating theatre. It didn't look quite as bad in other parts of the pub but it really spoiled the ambience for me...Food: 5/5
Visited between Christmas & new year in a party of 5. Nice ambience, very pleasant & helpful staff. 3 of our party ordered poussin cooked with jerk sauce which I can only describe as underwhelming at £19.00 per head; very dry texture which gave the impression of having been sitting on a hotplate for some time before being presented.I would be very apologetic if I served similar to my wife. A great shame ,but perhaps we caught them on a bad day!. Geoff Hicks Kid-friendliness: Very pleasant towards young granddaughter who was given a drawing book and other items to keep her amused.
Food was superb and service was great. I battle to find places where I can eat on my own and not feel pressured to eat and leave. This place was great. The Biscoff Cheesecake was beautiful. I would come back repeatedly.
We couldn't have had a better experience. The food was delicious, really delicious 2 of us had the sharing rack of lamb, cooked to perfection. The whole team were really welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be going again.
