FDAMH supports people with mental health problems. Our goal is to help people recover from mental ill health. Services include: immediate help during office hours, counselling, befriending, support for families and carers, drop-in centre, link work and social prescribing, support groups, activity groups and training.
Our services are available to people living in Falkirk District aged 16 years and over. Our clients may be experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, panic or isolation (these are just examples) or they may be in a family where someone has a mental health problem.
Please note we do not provide specialist services for people with learning difficulties or organic mental illness such as dementia.
Our mission is to promote mental wellbeing by providing a range of services and creating an environment in which we:
Support individuals to recover from mental ill health by acknowledging that recovery is a unique voyage of self-discovery and personal growth;
Prevent deterioration in mental wellbeing; and
Provide support, education and training related to mental health to carers and across the local community.
