If you want to be treated with sheer ignorance and don't care lf you never see a GP again this is the practice for you. The aim of the practice is to make the life of it's patients as difficult as possible and the receptionists urgently require training in people management as it would appear the practice is run to suit their needs and not those of the patients. The nursing assistant Lesley and the trainee nurse practitioner Joanna and trainer Claire are the only staff members worth mentioning
Only been with this practice for just over 1 year and find it a disgrace. Reception staff rude and as for getting an appointment…. Forget it. I have a few health issues going on but can’t get to see a GP. Even repeat prescriptions seem to go amiss, they tell you that it’s sent to the chemist, I go to the pharmacy for collection and it’s not there. Had to go back to the surgery to find it still sitting at reception or still in with the doctor this has happened a couple times now. I’m looking into changing surgeries.
Absolutely awful doctors practice. Rude receptionists, daughters repeat prescription missed every month even when I have proof I have ordered it. Unhelpful receptionists who could use a course on how to speak to patients properly! Try to make a complaint online funny service doesn’t work. Avoid
The practice sent me a letter asking to book an appointment. I phone to book appointment and reception say there's no appointment allocation available and phone 8am every day until you can get an appointment.
I understand a receptionist can be feeling tired or stressed or just be having a bad day. I can understand that over time customer service can slowly erode, until someone thinks it's acceptable to be rude, blunt and unhelpful to the general public. But when a mother who has just spent the night in hospital worrying about her poorly infant is visiting their new gp for the first time, I would have expected a little respect from the receptionist. A friendly smile or an act of general human kindness. It doesn't matter how bad your day is, sometimes there are others who you are dealing with that need you to have a bit of class.
Only giving one star because I can’t give a zero!! Place seems to be a shambles. If you first thing in the morning you will be waiting 45mins-1hr to get through and then you will be greeted with a very rude receptionist! *Note I said a rude receptionist as there is one very rude receptionist who I wouldn’t want to speak to if my mental health wasn’t great. Not what you want when you’re phoning your GP!!! It’s time people speak up and get this situation sorted out. People in my area, particularly elderly are upset with the way the practice has been over the last few years.
I have been with this practice since the 1950's in Graham's Road.We have had some great doctors in this 60 odd years but now we DON'T have one ! The place is now a shambles.compleshashambles
Used to be a great practice, save for the odd rude receptionist. But since this practice has been recently taken over it is a disgrace to the health service and not fit for purpose. Hiding behind covid as an excuse not to do any work. It is impossible to see a gp. No pre bookable appointments. As someone who works in general practice i dont know how they get a way with providing such a shoddy service. This group really need investigated as there other practices have horrendous reviews also.
This surgery is a disgrace can’t see a Doctor one of the receptionist treats folk as if they have no business phoning very rude . If I could get another surgery I would be out of there
If I could give no stars I would have.... Today after being registered with the surgery for 30 years, I called to told I had been removed from their register. My old address was also not in the catchment area either this never seemed to be a problem but due to Westburn moving I have always stayed at the practice and since moving very recently 5 minutes from my old address I have now been removed from their register. Now I'm always one for following policies and procedures but I wasn't told that I had to register with a new GP, yet Westburn are claiming they gave me one month's notice.....which i wasn't never made aware of, no contact, no emailwhich they told me they sent two of, it was NEVER discussed on the phone, not one person has told me I have one month's notice. No matter how many times I told the receptionist this today she insisted I was told, I can honestly hand on heart say this is not the case. So today 4 months pregnant, and suffering from Hyperemesis I was told there is nothing they can do for me because I am no longer a patient. Despite being desperate for medication, there was nothing they could do. Very unhelpful, no sympathy, no empathy, just repeated there is NOTHING they can do to help me. Thanks to NHS24 and another medical practice who have registered me TEMPORARY until I can find a new GP, they have managed to give me a prescription for the urgent medication I require. The stress and upset this surgery have put me through today is simply disgusting.
