Very surprised this so called business hasn’t been shut down or someone’s taken it into their own hands. Run by an actual psychopath. Please, please, for your own mental health AND safety - stay away from this place and anyone who works here. Don’t even consider giving them any money. There are viral videos online of the owner verbally abusing his customers and all of these reviews show what an awful person he is. He does not care about karma coming back to bite him that’s for sure! Unless you want a car that can’t drive or will have a MAJOR fault I suggest you go to a legit dealership or atleast a sales person who won’t ruin yours and your families lives.
Bought a used Lexus from these guys. Chaz and his team are real people. Down to earth, fair and know how to buy awesome used cars for their inventory. If you want to buy a used car with the peace of mind, drive to Fairway, even if it means driving a little further. Thanks team!
Sold a car to my partner on Thursday. He managed to drive it home ok but by the time he went to go back out in it a few hours later, the car wouldn’t start. Telephoned the guy who said he would fix it Tuesday. Asked for a refund but was ignored. The following day, my partner bought and fitted a new battery himself thinking it might be the problem…but it wasn’t. The car again will not start unless you disconnect the battery each time. On the occasions it does start, the speedometer is all over the place, the car was advertised as having full service history and MOT history which is did not. There wasn’t even fluid in the screen wash so how it passed an MOT apparently a week ago is beyond me! This is also being investigated . Under the consumer rights act of 2015, we do not have to accept his offer to fix the car looking at the reviews I doubt this would happen anyway or it would be a short term fix we are entitled to a full refund. The guy refuses to answer calls or texts and is now ignoring us. Complete con man who has done this multiple times judging by these reviews. It is shocking this company is still allowed to trade. We are now unfortunately going through trading standards. I don’t know how he sleeps at night. I wished we had checked these reviews before going here. Please save yourself time, money and energy and AVOID this place at all costs.
Never buy from these guys, they are completely untrustworthy. My son was totally hoodwinked by them, sold him a dud van and although they conveyed they would return his payment, here we are 5 months on and he is owed thousands of pounds. Do not approach this company EVER. I think you will soon realize all the positive reviews below are likely to have been set up by the owner and his accomplices who work at HMR3 or Fairway Motors. Really happy to discuss further.
My son bought a van off these cowboys yesterday and on his way home after buying the vehicle broke down he had the van less than 3 hours when the clutch went, when one of the owners was contacted he was told they would sort it and to phone back the next day. When we phoned back his responce was they they wasent prepared to do anything his manner changed to arrogance. He wasent prepared to disscuss and to contact trading standards which i shall be doing also i will be contacting auto trader to make an official complaint.my advice is do not buy from these as they come over all nice an decent when selling but attitude changes after purchase of Vehicle.
We bought a Mondeo from here at the end of June, we wanted a car short term to last at least one year and purchased this for £1000 which included an MOT. Within one month of having the car, we had to replace the break pads and discs. Month two of having the car we put four new tyres on. Month three seemed to be fine however, in month four the timing chain, cam shaft sensor and pistons went. There was no compression going to the engine. As we didn’t pay much for the car, we decided it wasn’t worth fixing so we decided to scrap it. The only problem here was that four months on, we had still not received the log book - this was after my partner had been emailing and calling to chase it up for several weeks. Each time we were either ignored or were told it he would do it right away, then blatantly lied to as he said it was done. The DVLA confirmed otherwise. The reason I’m writing this review is not to advertise the bad luck we have had since purchasing this car, it’s more to warn people not to buy from this rogue trader with shocking customer service skills. The garage the car is currently at today advised us the mileage on the car has been clocked... when my partner called to tell him this, he started shouting and swearing and resulted in offering us £300 for the car back. As a business, it is their responsibility to ensure they are selling a legal roadworthy vehicle. I personally think the compensation offer is very insulting for all the troubles we have had and they clearly do not want us to have the car so we cannot report them. I write this review to warn others to not buy a car from this ‘car firm’, we not unless they want endless problems and an illegal car!! I have the evidence of this and will now be reporting the company in hope they cannot con any other unsuspecting consumers.
I contacted Chaz through Autotrader online, called and explained my interest in the Toyota Avensis estate for sale. He was very polite and understanding of my personal needs and helpful in explaining the details. Contacting Chaz numerous times was never an issue and always got back within a short amount of time. He arranged to bring the new car to me, and gave a fair price on my old van and part exchange. Chaz also explained step by step process for the log book and taxing the new car. The car came with a full MOT and 6 months service, 3 month warranty and basic AA cover yet to be completed online, minor issue of boot canopy missing fixtures to hold closed. Overall very happy with the car and level of service from Chaz of Fairway Motor Co.
Bought a Citroen C4 from them and the customer service was amazing. There to help with the small things glove box cover replaced. Even delivered the car for me. The 12 month MOT is a great bonus.
Got car. Within 30 days became unroad worthy. Service apparently done before sale only for oil filter so clogged it was sucked in also clutch and gear box completely went. Due to filter being so bad hardly any oil got round engine causing engine to be replaced.
Bought a car from here over 2 years ago, a 2003 Honda Civic. Chaz who handled the sale was a pleasure to deal with, friendly guy and very genuine. The car has been the perfect example of the legendary Honda reliability and a joy to own. Would have no hesitation in buying from here again. Thank you to all at fairway especially Chaz. :
