Newley refurbished with an addition of a large new bright Primark. Very accesible from various entrances and you have the usual shops including restaurant area upstairs and an ice cream studio!!!!nMarks & Spencer is probably the busiest shop and has a great food court. Next is also of reasonable size.nUnder the current economic situation Primark is doing well with their low prices and reasonable quality clothes and more. Great value for money specially if you are shopping for kids. Sale time you can come away with quite a lot of goods.nNero cafe O’brians cafes on ground floor and BurgerKing too as well as Waterstones bookshop.nAll shops & restaurants mentioned above are the only branch in Ballymena or within 15 miles or more! Well worth a visit.nAh opticians and JD Sports too!
Decent centre, def more life than a lot of these type centres. Good primark. 1 slight negative is on busy days hard to get a seat to eat.
I witnessed an extremely concerning incident today in the food court.nnDuring a visit to the centre with my family we decided to go up to the foodcourt for some lunch. Shortly after we sat down, a group of young teenage boys came to sit near us and a few minutes later a security guard approached them. The guard came up behind one of the boys and pulled his chair out from under him while he was sitting but thankfully the young boy managed to avoid falling. Then to make matters worse, another staff member appeared from the back and shouted across the food court instructing the boys to leave as they had been told before, using aggressive/wholly inappropriate language in a busy environment where many families and young children were present!nnNot only does this clearly land well below the standard you would expected from staff in a public setting, but it was frankly very dangerous and totally unnecessary too!nnI do appreciate that staff may need to manage challenging situations; but the manner in which this was handled was totally unacceptable!nThe way both these men acted, seriously lacked professionalism, and created a highly uncomfortable and alarming atmosphere for other customers. It was particularly concerning to see a situation involving young people handled in this way. I would like to think that staff especially those in security roles would be appropriately trained to manage incidents calmly, safely, and with restraint!nnI would strongly urge management to review this matter carefully and ensure that appropriate standards of conduct, training, and supervision are in place to prevent similar incidents from occurring in future!
Thought this place was amazing. Some great shops and very clean. Had been about 17yrs from I'd been here and it's extremely up to date
Unfortunately the management of Primark Ballymena appear to be severely lacking in customer service training, most obviously the manager Aileen. This was my first experience encountering a manager with such poor customer care skills. It’s genuinely disappointing and reflects badly on the overall standard customers should expect. What a disappointment.
