Nice circular walk, 2.5 miles. Needling boots though as used by mountain bikes also so very muddy!
Went for walk from carpark .very wet underfoot.. pleasant walk. Quite quiet
Great for family walks with he dog too
It is a pity so many trees are being felled at the moment. I hope they are replacing them. I do not think there is the money to put directions up as it apparently does not belong to the council. It is a nice place to walk but as usual it is spoilt by irresponsible dog owners who fail to lift what their dogs leave. In one part of the forest my wife, grandson and I turned back because of the dog poo left on the path. These people are a disgrace! They drive for miles to leave the poo where others are walking. It is a pity we could not throw the poo into their gardens.
Unkept, small car park, wet and filled with potholes. Short unkept walkway into forest has become a muddy trail. Once in the forest the same unkept, unmolested attitude is great. If only the access was easier to get through, this would have higher numbers of visitors. Maybe that's a good thing for a quiet walk in the beautiful surroundings! Definitely a lost Jewell!!!
Stunning on a good day. Used by dog walkers a lot. Like many of our forests. Nothing by way of signage for anyone visiting. I don't think they want anyone to visit.
Beautiful and Serene but people should not leave their trash.
The entrance could do with some work to make it safer and resurfacing for the entire carpark would be advisable. Also there is no lighting in the carpark making it risky for lone females in the darker winter hours. However I here it is a popular spot for doggers if that's your thing.
A great place to take your dog, amongst beautiful scenery and with varied levels of exertion throughout the walk. Some steep hills up and down but mostly fairly easy.
Great place to walk, unfortunately there are no route maps or signs to show direction or length of trails.
