At Eviva Taverna you can expect the friendliest of service in a genuine Taverna atmosphere. Eviva offer a range of Greek Mezze and a large selection of Vegetarian dishes.

We are open in the evenings Monday to Saturday, 6pm until late. As well as hosting parties (see below) we can also cater for corporate events.

If you are looking for some authentic Greek/Cypriot food in Nottingham then have a look at the Eviva taverna at Barker Gate in the Lace market district. The restaurant is in the basement and built like a genuine Greek taverna. They have an extensive mezze set menu as well as a good a la carte menu. They also have a good vegetarian selection in addition to the traditional chargrilled kebabs and steaks. They have a good selection of drinks Mythos and Keo. If you pick the right night there is both Greek dancing and belly dancing. All in all a decent Mediterranean restaurant with reasonable prices.
The food was delicious and well presented. We had the king mezze which was massive and defeated us! Nick was brilliant and even offered to box courses up for us. Only thing I would say is that the courses are quite dry however more dips were provided without additional charge. Service was outstanding with just the right amount if attentiveness. Our new favourite restaurant in Nottingham.
Just visited for the first time since the refurbishment. Great service and the food is top quality Greek Cypriot food. It is the best I have had since living in Cyprus. The welcome is always friendly & nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We have been coming here for years & would recommend here for anyone wanting to eat good quality Greek Food.
Good sized portion meals, friendly services - they opened half an hour early for my friend and I as it was raining and we arrived too early. Looking forward to trying other stuff next time! I highly recommend the homemade baklava!
What a wonderful place to eat - at the last minute they took on our party of 11 people when we were let down for a birthday evening out and made the whole evening just so special. No problems with dietary stuff such as allergies and gluten free food and the food was just brilliant. We will be back :
It didn't start well when we were the first table to arrive to the restaurant, ordered mousakka and they said they had none... Then after average starters mains arrived and quite disappointed too, sauces bland and watery. Found out later through their Facebook page they are closing down so I'm not surprised it might be the reason why they were poor in quality but still, if you can keep standards and still going to charge the same? Wouldn't go back
Had a fantastic night for a birthday party meal with both adults and children included - Very accommodating - food fresh tasty plentiful and very good value for money - service amazing - made our night very special and were not rushed and were treated like family with taste of dancing and merriment - Thank you
Can't recommend it enough. £22 for the "King's Mezze" which is an 8 course meal. Every course was amazing. Very very tasty. Friendly staff, too

Great food, great service all set in a nice authentic restaurant! Really enjoyed my evening here and could have spent hours enjoying the good food and food drink
