Went for my first service (silver service £45) after reading lots of reviews mostly negative I decided to go there anyway as it is very convenient for me. I was scared that evans will try to replace parts on the bike for lots money like in some of the reviews. Took the bike to the shop the mechanic checked the pads and chain for stretch in front of me and said they dont need changing and took the bike for service after one and half hours he rang me to collect the bike. So no horror story :-)

Took my bike for a service to sort the brakes out. Left the shop with an £80 bill for replacing the chain, cassette, break disk and service charge. I have cycled for many years, but I have never ever had to change the chain or cassette. I'm not a Tour de France cyclist, I'm a middle aged commuter. Spoke to a bike enthusiast friend(who cycles in the Apls for fun) said He has never replaced his chain/cassette ever. Can help feeling that "up selling" took place to make some profit. :-(

Massive selection of bikes here . Prices too , but a very good variety for the young to older age brackets . Staff knowledgeable and friendly
