Ordered a mountain bike for home delivery and the sales chap was so helpful showing me over the bikes I had a selection of. Very helpful going through high vis stock and protective equipment. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I didn't feel rushed and nothing was too much trouble. Thumbs up !

Some staff members in this store forgot or haven't been trained to be in a customer service roll.I dealt with 3 members of staff when collecting a bike that was ordered online. 2 had attitudes as if they were doing me a favour selling me a bike. The other was excellent but the purchasing experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not purchase from this Evans store again and was very close to telling them to forget it and asking for a refund.

My wife and I visited the Chester store yesterday with the full intention of purchasing two bikes for our family. the salesperson who came to see us made it clear he could hardly be bothered to talk to us and obviously considered us a waste of his time, we could not believe it, his attitude was unbelievable. So we walked down the street to another bike shop in which we were greeted with a big smile and an apology that they were short staffed today but would help as much as they could and they did In friendly non sales way, nothing was too much and in fact instead of up selling us bikes told us that there was no need to spend as much which was great and for this they got two good bike sales and two very satisfied customers that will be singing g their praises. I am not a keyboard warrior and have never left a bad review before but my wife and I were so angry at the way we were treated at Evans and the difference in service we received for walking a couple of hundred metres to the first bike shop on the same road was staggering and so if you want advice and service from sales people you can trust and who care about your needs I would highly recommend you take a walk down the road like we did.
