Disappointed with the hire of a car. When it arrived it wasn’t clean and stunk of cigarette smoke which was really unpleasant. The steering wheel I didn’t really want to touch, there was spillages and god knows what else on it. All for the excuse of, sometimes other customers smoke in the car. The organisation from start to finish was awful, I had someone call me who clearly didn’t have much customer experience and spoke as if he was talking to a mate, poor language and comms, then on picking up the car the poor girl was waiting for her colleagues to get organised the other end to bring the cars to where they needed to be. Just annoyed and disappointed.
Had a fantastic interaction with the manager whilst picking the car up. He also gave me a complementary upgrade to an automatic compact SUV which I really appreciated you guys are awesome. Really impressed with the manager, he displayed fantastic communication skills and made sure I was looked after. A real credit to the company keep hold of this guyreally appreciated it, thank you very much.
Quick 1 day rental for a van.nVery affordable, cheaper than even a Zipvan used to be, even after my fuel from ~200miles of a trip.nnRight on the South Arterial and A12 too, so that gets you straight onto the North Circs and M25 too, so any time you'd save picking up from a branch more central, you'd lose to driving out from there anyway.nnUmar and Mohammed were great in getting me into the van quickly, and checking it back in the next day. Couldn't have gone quicker or easier.
Staff were actually super amazing. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Very polite when I had questions as I had a courtesy car from them. Quick to react when I had to exchange it. Everyone I delt with was so friendly and made everything easy for me.
Long-time customer, first genuinely poor experience and worth flagging.nnI booked a van onlineReservation no: 2096606141 with Harold Wood branch last night for 22nd–26th May. This morning the branch called to say the van wasn't available and they might need to cancel. I asked if they could pull one from Romford, which they've done for me in the past, and they said they'd try while also suggesting I ring Romford myself.nnI called Romford directly - van available, ready to book. I called Harold Wood back to let them know, and was told Romford had refused to release it. That directly contradicted what Romford had just confirmed to me. I was then told to cancel my reservation. I've booked with Romford, who sorted it instantly.nnA couple of questions for the branch manager:nn1. If the vehicle wasn't available, why was it bookable online and confirmed to me overnight? Inventory needs to reflect reality and taking a booking you can't honour isn't a small inconvenience.nn2. Inter-branch sourcing is something Enterprise is genuinely known for, and Harold Wood has done it for me before. The story I was given today didn't add up against what Romford told me directly. Whatever happened internally, the customer shouldn't be the one left chasing it.nnHarold Wood is my local branch and I've rented from them for a long time without any complaints ,which is the only reason I'm bothering to write this. The fix here isn't complicated it's accurate inventory, and the same willingness to help that used to be the norm at this branch.nnDisappointed!
