I've rented on 6 different occasions from this Enterprise location and while I've been relatively happy on previous occasions, I was not this last time around. I expressed my disappointment and recieved an email to provide feedback. The link provided was for support, not a survey. I responded informing them of the error and asked for the right link. However, to date, I've received no response so hence why I've decided to share my experience here.nnI made a booking for a compact Elite car. The fine print indicated that I would get a Mercedes A Class or something similar. When I arrived, I was given a Cupra. I immediately expressed my disappointment as a Cupra is nowhere near the level of a Mercedes Benz. Their response was that I would be pleasantly surprised. When we inspected the car, I discovered that the rims were all damaged. The car also had bumper damage on both the front and the rear bumpers on the drivers side. I've uploaded photos here as evidence.nnIn the end, I not only got an inferior car based on what I paid for. I also got a damaged car, and it's unacceptable as car rental companies charge everyone insurance, so they should use that money to repair the cars. Seeing as they didn't, I landed up with a very tacky looking car. Remember that I rented an Elite class car, so I definitely did not get that.nnLastly, this is the only rental destination in the world where they don't provide a car with a full tank of gas/petrol. I've lived in the USA, Australia, South Africa, and now the UK, and I've never experienced this. I've also traveled extensively and can confirm that this is definitely not standard practice. As a result, they always get the benefit. Nobody knows what a quarter or half a tank equates to when trying to return the car with the same level of petrol/gas you got when you collected the car. Their excuse is that they don't have any petrol stations close by to refill the cars. This is not true. Costco for one is around the corner, and there are plenty of others. All in all, a very bad experience.
Seemingly friendly staff. But be aware upon return of vehicle. They tried to hit me up for a nail in the centre of the tread. How can a nail in the centre of a tyre be the customers fault. That could have happened on your premises. Luckily they had talked me into the extra cover insurance, or have an excess of £2000, so I was not charged. A previous customer whom I met whilst picking up the car, had a similar experience and was charged. And that’s why I am WARNING others. Read the reviews this has happened a number of times.
I have booked the car, got the confirmation email from enterprise - but than I was told that bookings on the same day are subject to availability and apparently this is displayed when you are making a booking on the website - I may have overlooked this or it really was in small print. I arrived to the branch on time to pick up my car I was told that I need to pay for upgrade or wait 2h for my chosen car. I am sure that your experience will be better as long as you book well in advance.
Awful experience and awful people.nI had a car hired back in march this year. Short story I’ve picked up a car with small damage under one of the rear doors. I haven’t noticed at that time of pick up, the cheeky stuff didn’t “noticed either” and at the time of return they’ve put the damage on me. Obviously I was trying to dispute that but it was just my word against theirs. The stuff were on “I don’t care side it’s your problem you should’ve checked”. It is only when I showed them videos on my home ring camera of the vehicle, just 10 min after driving it, the manager advice me to dispute the incident. The person who handed me the car at the start of the hire, conveniently wasn’t with the firm anymore.nI have disputed the incident straightaway and 6 months later nothing. Incident it is still pending and its having a bad effect on my premium, specially that things are not being settled.nLessons learned : always make pictures and plenty of videos before driving the car. Don’t trust the personnel no matter how smiley and friendly they are some of them they can be really sly.
We hired a brand new Luton van for three days,at a very competitive price. The service was exceptionally on picking the van up and returning. Highly recommend Grays brach, Kevin.
