Really nice traditional architecture, and stained glass.nAll staff were incredibly helpful and nice. Kyla was especially great in her customer service, very welcoming and accommodating. Shout out to the dark-haired girl that was on the night shift in reception as she was also very lovely.nWill be back next time I’m in the Lake District!
Overall 5* based on the staff, they couldn't do enough for their guests, running the desks, the bar, the restaurant and breakfast! Hotel in need of some refurbishment but had wonderful character so careful that isn't lost. Room comfortable and clean, Bathroom in need though, shower a dribble, the pipework rattles and gurgles and some of the floor tiles loosening.nDinner great, Breakfast superb.nOnly gripe, all inclusive lager is Carling winces, not the best but the house wine made up for it.nThank you guys, we enjoyed our stay, all the best to you..
Had a lovely few days stay. lovely room with a massive bed and both bath and shower coffee n tea plus patio doors open onto garden brilliant for dog .Great breakfast staff would bring dog a sausage for his breakfast very nice pint. Staff very friendly can't wait to go back.
Male sure to ask for a room facing away from the road! The windows are single glazed and the curtains are thin so you could hear every car passing and see every headlight, not a good night's sleep. I was staying for work and the wifi was non existent in my room which is not practical either. The hotel itself used to be relatively grand, with stained glass windows in the hallways and lovely grounds, but the rooms are in need of refurbishment.
Wonderful. Comfortable, friendly, great location, excellent service, fantastic food, lovely garden, plenty of parking. We love it and have already booked our next stay.
