Camped here for night 1 of coast to coast. The wind was howling and it poured all night. The facilities are basic, but functional. Had a nice hot shower. Mrs Bradley was quite friendly and let me hang out in the living room of the B&B, which had a solid fire going and was warm and comfy. She also got me a couple beers (£1 each!!) as I was wet and tired from my first day of hiking.

Warm welcome, tea, cake and a roaring wood burner just what we needed after our first day on the coast to coast challenge. Our group of nine enjoyed a comfortable night in the bunk room listening to the rain lashing down outside. Hearty breakfast was provided in the delightful conservatory by Dorothy who could not do enough to please us. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Highly recommended for a night at the beginning of the Coast to Coast hike. Great private rooms with a lounge area with a wood stove. Hearty breakfast.
