Perfect for a day out, with lovely grounds, a variety of walks and activities, and plenty fairly-priced parking.
Elvaston Hall is comprised of the main hall, with various add-ons and renovations dating from different time periods set within lovely wooded grounds. There is plenty of activities for young children, and a variety of walks that vary in length and scenery. There are plenty amenities, including toilets and cafes and the grounds are well maintained and tidy.
Excellent for a quick stroll or a more relaxed day out.

I'm very lucky this was so close to where I grew up.
It's just beautiful, perfect for dog walking as there's forest and open grass areas, but also just nice for a day out.
I'd recommend this for photographers as well as my partner is one and greats amazing shots every time he comes here.

Nice place for a walk around. Can string a three or four mile walk out of it. Car park £2.80 for the day. Not really a castle but a somewhat run down stately home. Have been before though and will go again.

A beautiful place, to take the children or dogs, or just to walk round, the carpark costs £1.20 for 2 hours use exact money as machine doesn't give change, the parlour tea room is lovely, nice food and you can pay by card, and is wheelchair friendly, there are also toilets within the tea rooms aswell as in the courtyard where there is a little shop for memorabilia or nibbles. Has beautiful old English garden to relax, in the summer has lots of beautiful flowers. Very lovely place to visit throughout the year.

Lovely place, easy to get to walking or by car. No entry charge to the grounds, although there is a parking charge. Extensive space for walking, great to take the kids and to walk the dog, and to have a picnic in the summer. There is a cafe, though we did notice today (a Sunday) that it was shut at 3.45pm. Do beware though that it does get very wet and muddy in the winter so wellies are essential! There is a big area of scaffolding which has been there for a long time now, which does detract from the scenery, thus one less star.
