I love this area, it's a great place for a steady walk or Ideal for a run if you feel more active...nIt leads onto Beeston Marina which is a good place to head to...nThere's lots of wildlife to Keep you interested...nMake sure you have decent footwear as certain areas can become waterlogged...nThere's a small charge in the carpark...nIt's a beautiful area to visit and well worth the visit...
Great location for a stroll, the day I visited had clear reflections of all the beautiful clouds in the water.nShortest walk around the reserve is 1.9 miles.nIt was busy with people at least every 10m and cyclists on the paths but that's to be expected for a Sunday.nThe center had cool socks and a lot of wildlife observing kit, like binoculars and camera tripods etc.nThere is plenty of seating available around the paths, several bird watching hides and lots of signage explaining various bird related factoids. Overall a great and pleasant experience.
Lovely visit to the nature reserve, great cafe and a beautiful walk. And if you like trains a bit of the reserve is next to a busy track with lots of engines to spot! A great day out with no admission to pay, just the car park, highly recommended.
Very well cared for. Lovely food, a lot to see and reasonably prices parking and cafe.nnI only had a short walk around but I saw plenty of very happy animals and plants. If you enjoy nature it's worth a visit.
Beautiful peaceful walks, diversity of plants, wildlife ever-changing, if you need to relax, decompress it’s a perfect place to visit. You also may be fortunate to bump into experts in entomology, ornithology, botany who inspire young ones with their knowledge and enthusiasm. If your lucky you also have damsel flies landing on you,
