Great bunch of lads and an almost brand-new car for 24 hours for £9. 
As with ANY hire company, their prime asset is their CARS so they have to be sure people don't wreck them and they press you to take out excess insurance. If you hire a car more than once a year on holiday or business then it makes great sense to get an ANNUAL EXCESS COVER policy - mine cost £30 - and then when you hire you make it clear from the start that you're covered and avoid all the pressure. 
I personally couldn't have had a better hire than from the friendly and efficient Easirent Paisley team 🙂.

Our flight into Glasgow Scotland from Orlando Fl USA was 31 minutes late. We caught the shuttle to the off airport site. Upon arrival we were told that since we were late they didn't have our car. Incidentally, there were 6 of that model on the lot. They could put us in a different but same class vehicle. When they finally got a contract to us for the different car it was just over 4 times as much as our reservation for 11 days. In a strange country, a strange city unsure of where to go at that point we declined their obvious nefarious tactics. They were even laughing about it at one point. I asked to be taken back to the airport. They refused so we politely left. I had tipped the shuttle driver well on the way over. We hid outside, when the shuttle got ready to leave we ran up and the driver welcomed us in. I will NEVER EVER book a car with these thieves again. Don't even think about getting a car there.

my advice is: unless you are a professional on examining cars, get your full insurance before choosing this one.

in last Oct, we booked a car here via zuzuche app which offered a good price and a third party full insurance.

when the staff knew that we got our own insurance and would not buy theirs(which would be extra £30+ a day, even more expensive than the rent price), they obviously became impatient, and left all responsibility to us on checking the car condition and spoting existing scars.

The journey was smooth, we never had any accident, however, when we returned the car, they examined the car extremely carefully, and identified a small scar on a wheel, which we believed not our problem. However since we didn’t spot it when we got the car, we were charged £200. 
fortunately it was covered by our own insurance. Yet still, the different attitude they had during car check on renting and returning, and the corresponding consequence gave me a bad impression. 

I even doubt whether the £200 would be used to fix the scar. I think the scar may be well left there to trap the next customer.

From once I arrived in their shoddy yard I got a bad feeling. Luckily I didn't bring my passport so was refused the rental. Was delighted I didn't get it. The counter rep was rude and arrogant. When a rental company doesn't invest money back into the business with the likes of a tarmac or concrete yard rather than a pothole riddled kip it just says one thing only... I would avoid.
