Absolutely fantastic vets. They've been amazing for me came straight out in an emergency, always offering expert advice and being there at the end of a call or message to help out. Feel very happy to have my precious horse in their care.
My wife has used this vets for many years now, with the late Boston big pants and now Trigger and would not let any one else touch her boys as also had a excellent service. Thankyou

Used this practice for years now and have never had any issues. No matter what vet comes out, your horse ALWAYS gets the correct treatment! There’s one vet in particular that really stands out for me and her name is Rueben! In 2021, we sadly lost one of our ponies. Rueben was very patient as saying goodbye was not easy for me! She was so understanding and caring. We have had Rueben out since then for our other ponies. Everything gets explained in as much detail as possible. She really takes her time to get to know you and your pony. Rueben also told me to ring the practice within a week to let them know either way how our pony is doing, that shows me that these guys care about the well-being of our ponies. Thank you to ALL of Durham Equine!
Absolutely superb, caring service for all our horses. The practical , swift and effective treatment of my laminitic pony enabled him to remain in work for far longer than might have been the case. And when I lost my old, home bred boy i couldn't fault the sympathetic service I received. Would unreservedly recommend this practice. Just wish they did dogs too!
Brilliant service! Answer questions promptly and even speak with a vet you'd be lucky to get that with a doctor! Go the extra mile! Only faults are it costs money !
an awful experience with lack of communication on the behalf of the vet. After an apology the first time I complained by admin, this was then followed up by the vet being defensive and unprofessional after further lack of communication. My horse was left in pain after issues being missed on an x ray, which was clear when I went elsewhere for a second opinion. further complaints that I put in have resulted in the vet giving me 14 days notice as I dont listen to their advice. Listening to their advice would of created lots of unnecessary treatment for my horse and leaving her in pain whilst waiting on ct scans etc! The work was completed promptly and without the need for an expensive CT scan by a 2nd opinion. Needless to say I had changed to a better vet anyway! I fully accept that communication can lapse at times when people are busy and that things get missed. However, when you are then defensive about it and arrogant it is totally unbelievable from a service that you pay a lot of money for and entrust to be knowledge about precious animals. I'm flabbergasted at the practices response and will never use the practice again and never recommend anyone use it! On another note the admin staff were all lovely to talk to on the phone but I want a knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy vet and I definitely did not get that experience
Professional, caring Vets. Can’t thank Nicola and her team enough for looking after all my equine friends, from routine visits to emergency call outs. There’s always someone available to offer professional advice day and night. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
On bank Holiday Monday, one of our horses had a accident whilst out on cart , rang the surgery a vet was out with in 15 minutes, she was amazing took time with examination throughly gave time and reassurance with the horse and us , excellent service throughout thank you to the office staff and especially to the vet
Emergency vet took over an hour to reach us, a lot of unprofessional comments were made when he was seeing to my horse and the staff at the vets aren't very helpful towards people having some financial problems looking to just pay there bill monthly! Wouldn't recommend to anyone as they really are out just for your money being told to not clean a wound heightening the risk of infection, not happy at all!
