I've always had absolutely sterling service with Vets4Pets Bishop Auckland. I have 3 dogs, and all of their needs are expertly taken care of by the wonderful people here. I recently got a new puppy who came with some serious issues with his eye and his mouth. His eye had quite a large and deep ulcer. The vets took a look and told me the prognosis wasn't great, but they would do all they can. They sought a second opinion from an eye specialist, and promptly prescribed the recommended medication. I'm so pleased to say that we have managed to save his eye! There is some slight scarring, but he will live a perfectly normal life even with that. The vets, nurses, and even the receptionists seemed to really truly care about the wellbeing of my little puppy friend, Thor. I will never go to another vet as long as this one remains open. Please support this fantastic veterinarian surgery, they really are fabulous people. The prices are also VERY modest for the services they give. Thank you Vets4Pets! Of course, now I'm going to add a picture or three of my little wonky puppy
Good to take your dog but expensive if you do not have insurance. I have still a pet plan, the old lady not very friendly, asked me to pay an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory for £69 and Amazon and pet pharmacy selling them antibiotics for £10 and the other one £4. Please be careful do not pay medicine there.
The staff here are lovely, and quite a fan of our hoppy babies rabbits haha Barbara and Brian. They have all helped with a large amount of issues and without them, I don't think Barbara would be here with us today. Amazing service, amazing staff who are extremely knowledgeable.
Last year I would have given them 5 stars. However today if I could, I would give 0. My rabbit died during a very simple procedure of dental clipping. She was healthy and only a baby and I loved her very much. They said the procedure was a success but it was during the aftercare when she died. I know for a fact that they don’t just die after a simple procedure. She wasn’t being watched over properly and monitored afterwards which caused her death. I am extremely disappointed and concerned for future safety of other animals at this practice. Yes there are many good reviews, however I wouldn’t take the risk again personally. On top of that. I asked the vet if it would be possible to bring my other rabbit in to say goodbye to her sister and they said no. I know for a fact that it’s important for them to say goodbye so they can accept it. Now she’ll be waiting for her sister and she’s never coming home. If you own a rabbit! DO NOT bring them here please!!! For their safety!!! Photo of my beautiful baby that we lost below, because of the carelessness of someone who should have been watching her.
Our puppy had been registered there a few weeks before when we were passing by. However, we needed a rushed appointment for which initial treatment was excellent and medicines given completely worked over next couple of days. As instructed, we booked a check appointment 3 days afterward. As pup was fully recovered, we were surprised to discover when we arrived that there would be a near full charge for this appointment. We realise that in many cases, full follow up investigations are required but, actually, a phone enquiry would have been adequate in this instance.
Fast, efficient, friendly service. In and out within about 15 minutes after having our cat microchipped and a general health check.
Always been very happy with all the staff clinical and admin however the last couple of times we have had the same vet which we hadn't seen before these two visitsunsure if she is new. She seems to be obsessed with getting a muzzle on my dog as soon as we get through the door. Granted she can be nervous but it seemed unnecessary at the last appointment for booster. Also seems uninterested and just wants the appointment over as quickly as possible. My little dog didn't want to to walk with her out the back and she pulled her across the floor by her lead instead of either just picking her up or asking myself or my partner to.
Kind staff and friendly extra advice on food given. Pet given thorough check up when given boosters. Although it's on the ground floor the vet rooms are small I had trouble getting in with my electric wheelchair.
No good if you are on uc as you still need to pay for the consultation and treatment it a rip off for people that don't have jobs and on the dole I not be going back
Lovely and friendly staff who made us feel very comfortable and were very helpful and knowledgeable. Our pets were put at ease for their first ever visit. The operation for our female cat went very well and I felt confident leaving her Also having an initial health check before the operation and a follow up after was really nice and made us feel at ease with the whole process.
