When my wife and I decided to book a B&B in Portree, we were hoping to get closer to the town centre. Unfortunately, we were only able to find accommodation about a 25 minute walk away from the main square but when we arrived at Dunalasdair B&B, we were very glad for our choice. Situated in peaceful surroundings we had the best of both worlds — a quiet, comfortable base of operations located a decent distance from the heart of the action. The B&B was spotless — probably one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed — run by a dear woman called Christina who was kind, friendly and attentive to the needs of her guests while fully respecting their privacy at the same time. A comfortable double bed and a clean and efficient ensuite with all requisite amenities were a real plus. Breakfast was the usual hearty Scottish fare running from a selection of yoghurt and fresh fruit to a Full Scottish, poached egg, or scrambled egg with smoked salmon, all prepared with care and attention. Much thanks to Christina for making us feel welcome and giving us a clean, safe, comfortable place to call our temporary home while visiting such a beautiful island.
Have visited Dunalasdair three times over recent years. Had room 3 last time a good quality, clean compact room with excellent shower, toilet and hand basin. Breakfast choice very good and made to order by content. Close to Portree and good for traveling out across the northern part of Skye.
A wonderful night's stay at Dunalasdair. A bed and breakfast with much thought and care from a gracious hostess!

Great BnB on Skye. Very clean, large and spacious room with bathroom. Very generous and very good breakfast which can be adapted to your wishes. The accommodation is close to Portree convenient for evening dining and ideal for exploring the island with car. We recommend this accommodation without hesitation! Thank you Christina Rooms: 5/5
Great experience at Dunalasdair! Christina takes great care of her, with homemade shortbreads every day, everything is super clean and smells good, the bed is super comfortable and the breakfast is amazing. I didn't have a car and it's a 20-minute walk from Portree town center, so totally doable! supermarket nearby otherwise I recommend for those who want a little haven of peace after a day of hiking
