A comfortable and well appointed hotel within easy reach of Portree town centre. Excellent breakfast and dinner options providing well presented locally sourced food. Pleasant facilities including a sauna closed at present and a very comfortable relaxation room. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the Isle of Skye.
Loved the rooms in this hotel, sheets were absolutely a delight to sleep on! Rooms were tasteful with a well furnished bathroom! Great place to have a good sleep after all the hiking around Skye.
The Marmalade was a great place to stay in the highlands. It is situated on a quiet hill that is only a short walk into town. Storr, the Quiraing, and other outdoor activities all within 45 mins of the Marmalade. Yes, the rooms can be on the expensive side but they are pretty spacious and there is a full bar, a full restaurant, and a sauna all on hotel grounds.
We loved our time at Marmalade hotel in Portree. Beautiful view from our window, very comfortable room and spotlessly clean. The breakfast and team were lovely, even though they had to attend to some very demanding guests not us! they remained unfazed. Great job guys! The easy walk down to the little village and square for some souvenir shops. Loved it!
We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. As others have commented, the staffing appears to be an issue at the restaurant and bar,. However, that being said, the young men working there hustled and provided excellent service. In particular Sean is a wonderful young man who went above and beyond to ensure great service with a ready smile. It is a short walk into Portree down the hill and provided a quiet room for sleep. I can highly recommend the food, the dinner and breakfast were both quite good with a nice menu selection.
