Not as much of a carpark as a large gravel lay by with grenade holes in it ...photos are views from the carpark which are good
Quite a rough car park so enter slowly to save on suspension damage. Not huge either, though not busy. The Broch is a short walk through a field across the road and is fantastic so the car park is excused.
One of the better brochs, quite steep, great views, windy but we'll worth a look. You can go inside, down the steps or even between the walls and in the pits. Still is good shape considering it's age.
Worth the 300m walk to the top. Can be really wet.
Parking place very badly signposted but the fort is a spectacularly beautiful spot, with views across to the cuillins, Western Isles, and an abundance of birds and sheep.
It’s a stunning place just wish I could walk to the beach ,
Car parks do not come with a better view than this. The Broch Small Fort is accessed on foot across the road from the car park. Just a five minute walk up hill to this 2,000 - 2,500 year old Broch. The short walk is well worth it to see a great site and also a really good view once you get there.
It may look like an easily dismissed pile of rocks from the car park but it is well worth the ~300m walk up the slope. Peer into the double lined stone walls and take in the view. Foxgloves everywhere if you go at the right time of year late june - July
Dun Beag Broch is an amazing, very cool, historic site a short hike up a hill from the car park. Very much worth a visit if you are interested in the prehistoric aspects of the island, and Scotland more broadly. And the views of the surround country and water are breathtaking!
Unless you know to look for it, this is one of those wondeful places on Skye it'd be easy to miss! The car park is a bit rough, but it's in a very isolated location so sensible visitors would expect that. There's no toilet facilities so go before you go if you know what I mean . Those things aside, it's well worth the stop and the trek up to Dun Beag itself. It's hard going but do-able on crutches I don't recommend you try it in a wheelchair with a bit lot of determination! Stunning views await! We even saw an Eagle on our visit Keep dogs on leads and watch out for "Field Currants" sheep droppings
