The arrival / departure point for most arriving to Portree. The bus stop is located here. Usually there will be some kind of music playing, whether it bagpipes or flutes, and a small stall or two set up. Surrounding the square are a few businesses, such as a bakery, a hotel, cafes, charity shops etc. A busy central point of the village with plenty of character and atmosphere.
2022: Lots of places to eat. Iconic views. Bagpipe music floating on the breeze. You can just walk and explore and take in all the sights!
Nice square. Great addition to the town. There’s events held here.
Pricey snd difficult to find a place to eat that's not already packed.
