Stopped by for some lunch and was glad I did. Teriyaki Salmon was wonderful, not a huge portion but the flavour was excellent and it was cooked perfectly. Reasonable selection of beer available and house infused G&T was nice. Service was good and meal didn't take long to arrive.Food: 4/5
My family and I had a splendid time at The Duchess for my sister’s baby shower. We enjoyed delicious food in a beautifully decorated room. A massive thank you to James and the team for ensuring we experienced a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back!
A lovely little wood panelled pub on Duke Street, just to the north of Oxford street. The Duchess is a small oasis away from the hurly burly of shopping expeditions. A good few beers, both cask and keg. A delightful place to break any journey.Atmosphere: 5/5
The food at The Duchess was amazing- high class Gastro cuisine. The service at the bar on the ground floor and the restaurant area on the first floor was excellent Cleanliness was also first class - Highly recommended
All the way from America and stayed until Monday for the perfect Sunday Toadt which we found at the Dutchess. Lovely spot, clean and with a very friendly staff. The Sunday Roast was amongst the best we’ve ever had, anywhere, in England. Perfect Yorkshires, divine potatoes and veg, moist chicken and tender beef. Unfortunately, used our “always room for dessert” section of tummies for an extra Yorkshire!
What a gem of a pub in central London. Fair prices and friendly and professional staff. Last came here 20 years ago when it was the Henry Holland. Vast improvement and looks a great menu. Worth a visit to ease those aching feet.
The best Sunday roast ever!! Me and my partner had one vegan and one chapter roast. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The service was impeccable with attentive and friendly staff. The pub is quaint with a huge character, a haven from the hustle and bustle of Oxford street. A must visit any day of the week any time! And dog friendly
Very lovely welcome and super friendly staff. Food was very good but the service in the upstairs dining room was really poor. The waiter knew nothing about the menu or drinks. Food for a booking of nine turned up at weird intervals. Missing cutlery and no attention to needs. One of the party asked about GF options and was handed an allergen matrix to work it out for themselves. Nothing made me want a return visit. Shame, as super handy for us and the place looks like it has bags of potential.
Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to have a good evening. We tried a Supperclub Seafood. Delicious food and beers.
Very good quality food slightly ruined by poor preparation. Steak could of been slightly better. Desert Apple Crumble Cold with a small a mount of slightly warm custard. Chocolate Brownie with ice cream again Brownie was cold. No one asks how your meal was Overall OK better than average but has the potential to be good, with just a little effort.
