I had an absolutely amazing time here. Had a pizza which was very quick to come out and absolutely delicious. I love the decor that is very unique. The wine glasses made me nostalgic of being at my nans house, loved them. On top of this I went to their comedy virgins shows. It is free to watch and shows some brilliant new upcoming talent. They bring your drinks to your seat whilst in the show so you don't have to miss anything. On a random Tuesday night whilst in London for work this was a great way to relax and have a good time even on my own! 100% recommended this place all the staff are lovely and friendly as well, never felt so welcome somewhere. Will definitely go again next time I'm in the area.
We got take away pizza and had a beer while waiting for the freshly made pizza. The pizza was delicious and the beer refreshing, the staff very nice and friendly. We will go there again.Food: 5/5
Nestled in a residential neighborhood in Stockwell, this utter jem. A place out of time with beautiful diy art, a very wonderfully silly mini golf course, and a well staffed tiny music venue. I loved it. Dan and all the rest of the staff were so nice and so talkative. It is a very comfortable, unique, and beautiful space. Yes, that is Dan photo bombing on purpose, we were in stitches about it.
Staff and especially the entertainment were excellent! The whole atmosphere of this pub was excellent, so well done. Big shout out to "Dusty Funks Floor Shakers" I hope I got that name right, had a lot to drink . See pictures below and decide for yourself. £8 on the door via Eventbrite and then £9 for a double gin and tonic. The food took a while to come, and it wasn't great food. But I am not upset by that. That was £24 for 2 people. The whole pub is "mad-ly" decorated. Very quirky and just my kind of place. I shall eat before I come, but I will come again. If you want a lively Sunday evening, get down to the Cavendish Arms in Stockwell, London.
Visited today for a 2000AD guys live music gig and it was awesome. Venue is great, lot's of lights. disco ball, small stage, good sound too. Pub looks fantastic but it's quite pricey: paid almost 7 quid for IPA, not even Central. I know, I know, who complains about prices now. Toilets are kinda atrocious, no hot water, no towels, very old. I realise standards for London's WC's are low but I don't agree it has to stay like that. UK is very behind EU in that matter and hope that will improve. No more complains. Seen sitting outside, couches even, so that's a spot to remember for next visit during summer. Ah, very friendly stuff, kudos for that.
Intimate but really fun and striking space. Loads of places to sit for a cosy date, but also hosts comedy nights regularly. I loved stepping off the busy high streets into this shady, quiet street. Felt like a hug from an old friend. Will be returning.
 Nine Elms  £5.75 Freedom Lager One of London’s most uniquely decorated pubs. . The Cavendish Arms is located in a residential area in the western part of Stockwell. Nine Elms is the nearest tube and is just over a five minute walk away. . This pub’s architecture is typical 1960’s estate pub, this type of pub is ever becoming a rare sight on the London pub landscape these days. . This is a two room pub, the left hand side is used as a comedy club, live music and events venue, the right hand side is the main bar. . Now on to the decor, if you can imagine if DFS had a showroom in Soho in the 1970’s then I think it might look a bit like this, this place is absolute bananas. There is every different type of sofa, soft furnishing, flowery rug and trinket you can think off all of which are covered in fairy lights. At the front of the pub are a few gazebo’s with yet more sofas to relax in over the warmer months. . The beer line up was pretty good which included one real ale and a few craft brews. I decided to go off piste and tried the Freedom Lager, it was a decent pint and pleasingly under six nicker. . We arrived not long after opening just after 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were the first punters in and to say we were amazed by our surroundings was an understatement. We got chatting to the very welcoming Guv’nor who was telling us all about his pub of which he is very proud of. We popped next door to check out the events area, it is a good size space complete with stage. . @thecavendisharmsstockwell is a very unique boozer which is all about having a bit of fun. This place is definitely the case where the collars don’t match the cuffs, the inside and outside of the pub couldn’t be more different. This is definitely a must visit pub just for the decor alone. Free comedy night, lots of fun and laughter, creative and delicious cocktails, good and fairly prized pizza and oddly beautiful interior. This sentence tells you all you need to know about The Cavendish Arms. It is certainly worth a visit. It is one of the most unique pubs I've been to.
