Fitted in for 11th service and MOT at a Vauxhall dealership whilst on holiday. We raised an issue with an intermittent warning light when we dropped the car as arranged at 9:30am on Friday 16th June. Explaining we were down on holiday and needed to be sure car would safely get us home 2-3 hours away in the Midlands. Poor communication but did manage to speak to them mid afternoon. Wanted car to be picked up by 5pm at the latest but first we’d been told assumed open until 6pm. Passed MOT but a list of works needed in coming weeks. Thought light was due to a failed coil but not sure receptionist truly understood the implications of the fault since she said we could pick it up now on Saturday morning. I’m not sure they had the part to replace the coil but quoted for in health report I then received a few minutes later detailing work needed doing and quoting a price if they were authorised to do it. Unclear as she had told me car ok to pick up already. Nothing more said when we collected last Saturday morning. We struggled to Wells when the car lost power and we were stranded there for 4 hours waiting for the AA and then for them to source the part. My complaint is simple. Poor communication. Apology fails to meet seriousness of their neglect. This work should have been carried out urgently and was something that could not have been left for the vehicle to drive safely. No compensation offered other than if ever in the area drop by for a free car wash & polish. Seriously as Vauxhall customers of more than 10 years this was well below the standards we have received previously or I believe should be basic customer care. The car was running down the M5 within 5 minutes of being collected. Given the nature of the fault and the serious loss of power in Wells it could have led to a serious accident. There are no excuses or apologies that can be made but the implication the lack of communication on that day was a joint failure is insulting and missing own shortcomings. I think the mechanic on the car was perhaps inexperienced. Their work can not have been checked as the clip had broken and even if the coil were w replaced the AA engineer said it would have remained prone to failure as the absence of the clip meant that the connection would work free. The AA used 6 cargo ties to secure it to ensure we got home safely. Can anyone explain why a “first rate” dealership can perform so poorly on a classic model in their range? Could allow elderly customers to drive away in an unsafe car? Can think a verbal apology after a cursory investigation can meet aftercare. Fortunately we do not have to visit this dealership across Somerset again and I wonder why more local customers could and would be treated better
I had a great experience with Drive Weston Super Mare and Mark made the whole transition really easy and a super positive smooth experience! Communication from Mark has been excellent and I feel so happy and confident with my new purchase from them! Highly recommended them and Mark a huge thank you! I will definitely use them again! I think people are too quick to complain but not quick enough to give praise where it is due!
Just bought a used car last week and was a very good experience, the salesman Bruno couldn’t of been more friendly and helpful so I’d definitely recommend seeing him if you want a new car.
Poor customer experience . Business Manager was extremely rude when discussing poss. part exchange. Haven't been spoken too like that before and very surprising considering i was their to make a purchase. Have to say I would never go back and have warned friends and family not to use them based on my experiences. not great..
I want to leave a review for the bodyshop at Vauxhall and mention special shoutout to Laura Eling, I dropped my car off for repair she greeted me she was so lovely and kind I felt confident leaving my car with them. Once the repair done, she contacted me. Again she was so lovely and helpful, I contacted her couple days later as I thought something wasn’t quite right with the repair, she emailed me back so quick I went down met nice guy who went through it with me. I just want to say I had positive experience and Laura deserves 5 stars, great customer service! Very lucky to have her on your team.
My wife bought a car from this shower and the gear box broke within 2 days. Broken down on road side she has just rung the garage and been told ‘well you test drove it’ Rubbish follow up customer service. She’s driven it once, from the garage to home, and now was picking up our daughter from Bristol. I’m just off to pick her up.Luckily still under warranty. No customer service whatsoever. Avoid.
Visited as a customer for the first time on last Friday to get a new key for the Astra. Not a bad price, new key was paired to the vehicle. Paul on reception was very welcoming and informative. Caroline was great at resolving an issue that arose during the process. Will continue to get my car serviced with them, great service and value :-
Took much longer than suggested never received call backs when was promised I would also only got car back in the end when I really pushed for it , not really sure what the problem was as no explanation given and car wash voucher as they had no time to clean my car, also bits of trim left on front seat so I now have to make time and effort to return to get that put back in place, much better service with Bristol street motors , drive are not good at all which is a shame as I will be looking to buy a new car soon
Have bought a used car from this dealership car have couple scratches I ask them can they do this, they say yes and it'swill be invisible, when I came to collecta car this scratches was painted jus with brush and car wasn't wash properly.Paid a £500 deposit, refund must wait for nearly two weeks, but sale agency promise me tha4it will take 2-5 days. Bad customer service!!!
I have bought a few cars from different dealerships in the past however i always felt like other places were trying to get as much money out of me as possible whereas the staff at Vauxhall have always been brilliant. I have purchased 2 cars them from and both times their service has been faultless. Simon Brealey and Simon Strange have found me the perfect car for a great price both times and listened to everything i want in a car rather than trying to sell me a car I don't want. Becky did the hand over for my new car and she was brilliant the whole time. Thanks so much for such a brilliant service. Highly recommend.
