Absolutely not surprised by the low rating. I’d give them no stars if I could. My mum has been trying to get an appointment for months and months to the point where her health is deteriorating. They keep giving her links to make appointments , which is absolutely no use when you aren’t savvy with your smart phone. Why can’t they just make appointments over the phone. We are moving her to dr sharmas and thankfully the process has been so much better from the get go
Making an appointment with a doctor is simply unrealistic, my child needed an urgent appointment, I was on the phone from 8 am for a whole hour, while I was hanging on the line I managed to get to them, and the reception workers sat and just chatted, not a single person was there. The reception workers need to be taught how talking to people, I don’t even understand why they are there. Every appointment with the doctor is simply useless!!Thinnking to move to another GP practice!
I had an appointment today - 4 days I have high fever , chesty cough and sore throat, I can't eat anything for the last day, I feel sick from any food and medications paracetamol and Lemsip. This information was provided to the doctor. His questions were - are you sneeze, is your nose blocked. The temperature was not measured . Prescribed medications . And what a surprise was when I bought medicines and read the instructions, it turned out that they were from allergies, which I had never had in my life. I have contacted the reception, they promised to call me back. After 4 hours waiting I came to the GP - the receptionist tried to convince me that the doctor knows better even though we have 3 people in our family with the same symptoms as me and I need take prescribed medication. According to “records” during appointment I had no temperature which was not checked. When I asked so what temperature I hade during appointment - was no answer. Receptionist said that according to record i was not taking any medication this last days and it’s virus and doctor prescribed paracetamol and Lempsip??? What a nonsense - so I have allergy or virus ? And final advice - I should go to the Walk in centre. Very bad experience. My advice - check what doctors prescribe before taking any medication
I'd give zero if I was able. It doesn't matter what time you ring.... 11am on a Tuesday 2pm on a Thursday.... I'm not talking about trying to book an early appointment- I just mean to get through to ANYONE is impossible. After having b12 injections for 15 years with a previous gp and now recommended I change gp due to my location , they refused to give them without a blood test. Understandable, I suppose... but I'm so unwell I am taking around 12 x b12 mouth sprays and slow release high dose b12 tablets. They didn't inform me that they were coming to the care home yo take my blood test and will not give a specific date... so I have to take all my b12 medicine.. they then turn up and take blood tests and say my b12 is normal- of course because I'm pumping myself full of b12 daily. I have asked for them to give me a date so I can stop taking the b12 kn that day, but they won't. I have now fallen 3 times and been taken to hospital twice for brain scans. I am constantly feeling faint and weak. My family try cknstantly to get a b12 inhectiin but the gp don't even respond. We have sent letters due to not being able to sp3ak to anyone on the phone and still no response. The care home email and it has been 9 monts and it has still noy been sorted. I feel so unwell and can't get to see or speak to anyone. My biggest mistake was changing to this GP- DO NOT GO HERE!
The only time I get contacted by the surgery is to tell me via SMS messages what they/I cannot do!! Cannot call for an appointment/cannot request prescriptions over the phone/ cannot get test results over the phone. -1 star if I could.
Terrible doctors surgery. Even in non-peak hours, they take over 15 minutes to answer. They confirm a time on the phone, turn up at that time and told that it is 10 minutes prior so unable to have the appointment. Communication is shocking! Stilling waiting 4 weeks on for a child's blood test results! Would love to move surgery but none are taking on.
Hi. Highly not recommended. 2 weeks to get appointment and no chance to get one. Ladies @ reception so unhelpful; Makes you wonder if you try get appointment with GP or funeral house as probably you get second appointment quicker. If next time anyone ask me who is your GP answer will be Google Search California.Shame as i,m with this practice few good years and never been so bad. Not sure if new owners or what's happen but very big minus for them.
This place has always been pretty poor but I have called today for a same day appointment for my daughter and I was directed to the internet to make or attempt to make the appointment myself. I then got a text message to say 'your request will be reviewed within 2 working days'. So I take it same day appointments don't exist anymore? And that we ourselves are now doing the jobs of the receptionists? This stupid idea is just going to put even more pressure on walk in centres, urgent care centres and A&E departments!! Another brain dead idea from god knows who!!
Disgraceful after care post surgery, made me buy my own dressings, rubber gloves and even saline solution. I needed to be seen every day and they just cancelled my appointments without notice forcing me to travel unnecessarily in discomfort. Receptionist laughed at me when I asked for a complaints form but I'll be taking this much further
I have attended this practice for over 10 years now and I’ve definitely had my fair share of troubles with either rude doctors or receptionists, doctors that don’t listen, nowhere to park, people parking in the disabled bays with no blue badge but I have to say, since Anita has taken over, it is heading in the right direction finally. There are still issues to sort out but at least now, someone is actually listening to what the patients are saying and doing something about it. Big shout out to Kieran think that’s his name at Ettingshall practice. This receptionist has been the most helpful and caring person that I’ve come across in all the years I have been attending this group of practice and all the other doctors I have been too. He has gone above and beyond not only for me but other patients and he’s a big credit to the practice and more need to follow in his lead. There is now meetings happening for anyone that would like to attend and voice their concerns. You can find out more by speaking with Anita practice manager.
