Known Dr Rosall many years now - is my elderly mum's GP. Always had great caring and considerate service. Staff all very kind and helpful.

I called this surgery on Monday to register as new patient, told them my postcode (PR1 7UR) and asked the lady specifically if I am able to register and what is the waiting time. She very nicely told me, there is no waiting time you can come and register and your post code is fine. I then visited the surgery (Dr Rosall) window to hand over registration form that I downloaded from NHS website only to find out by the lady sat there at (4:00PM) that I cannot do that unless I complete their own form first and that they cannot register me before their own form is submitted to management and evaluated (2 days approval) and then they will tell me if they will register me or not and then I can submit NHS patient registration form. I did as I was told so I filled their own form. Today when I called , as I was told to enquire after two days if I can come to submit my NHS registration form, lady on the phone told me that my postcode does not falls into their area so they cannot accept me. I am dissapointed as a patient and a tax payer for following reason: 1- Why they couldn't just tell me over the phone on Monday, I couldv'e gone somewhere else. I had back problem and which has now delayed for 2 more days. 2- Why both staff had given me different information? 3- Why their surgery appears on NHS website as surgeries under my postcode Final comment: Staff who are not suitable for jobs in public places specially healthcare should leave their jobs and find something else if they get bothered and irritated by patients asking them for information and are not willing to be pleasant and helpful ( Please avoid pulling your blinds rudely and try to keep a smile on your face, it wouldn't cost a penny). Surely neither NHS has extra money to keep unsuitable staff nor tax payers are willing to accept 'conflicting' information.
