Seriously overpriced. Rooms haven't been updated in at least 20years and that's being kind. Bathroom was not clean (bathroom sealant mouldy). Staff pleasant but that's where the compliments end. I have stayed in better 2 star hostels. I would not stay here again and would not recommend. There are cheaper b&b in the area with great ratings. This is my personal opinion but I think it's a common one.

Family friendly service that is second to none. They treat u like one of the family too. Rooms are abit dated but that's what you expect I think if they changed it wouldn't be the same. Breakfast in the morning is fab and nothing is ever too much hassle. Pat the owner is a true gent. And the staff that work there are fantastic. Great value for money aswell.

A little dated but had everything needed and was clean and tidy with friendly staff which made it great value for money. Would I stay again.. YES.. 😀

Rooms are of an excellent size, staff is friendly and in general very good hotel. Price is reasonable. Breakfast was included in our price which was pretty good, though we did opt for breakfast elsewhere once I was thoroughly satisfied. The rooms were large and well furnished, though some of the bedding was a little uncomfortable. Bathroom had a full bath which was a nice luxury. What made it for me was the niceness of the staff who were welcoming and always helpful for queries about local area. My one gripe was that the internet was broken for 2 of 3 nights that we were there, however that was I am assuming a once off and was repaired for the third night.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Newcastle. Pat is a gentleman to deal with along with his staff. We stay there every year. The girls are A+++ and make and enjoyable and pleasurable memories.... Th Donard Bar next door is also a cozy quaint pub to visit
