Have been a regular customer since the place first opened and I have supported them throughout..... However tonight was without doubt the worst dining experience I have had in Newcastle in a long time and that includes some dodgy kebabs. Firstly one member of front of house staff serving an entire restaurant on a busy Easter Tuesday is either ballsy or incredibly stupid, not saying the young girl working was doing a bad job but you can only ask so much of one person. Secondly, on two separate occasions the place filled with smoke from sizzle plates but they wouldn't have caused the customers to cough and require the front door to be held open to remove the smoke unless the grill was dirty but both of these pale in comparison to number 3. How long does it usually take to cook 4 minute steaks? 15 minutes? 20 minutes?..... Try 50 minutes, and at that time I would expect them to be burnt or roasting hot... Unfortunately either would have been better than cold, dehydrated, pre cooked food which is what we were presented with ,served on freezing cold plates.....

I'm unfortunately a picky eater, but the staff at Ardiente where very friendly and happy to cater to my plain needs 😂 atmosphere is good and the staff definitely went above and beyond for my dad's birthday without us even asking. He got a shot of tequila and a cake brought out just because the waitress overheard us talking about his birthday. That's great dynamic service. I'll be back!

A cosy restaurant with a decent menu and well presented food. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Also very clean and tidy, will definitely be back.

My first time leaving a review for a food place but woke up this morning still rather annoyed so felt the need to. CHECK YOUR BILLS! our bill was 5-6 pound over priced and here's why. Ordered 2 chicken burgers 'meals' outlining the word meal as it included sides in the price. My partner asked for the sweet potatoes fries with her burger I asked for normal fries. My partner asked for tobacco onions on the burger and I asked for some Mayonnaise for my burger. We both asked for cheese and we're both charged for that which is fair enuff as most places would anyway so that is irrelevant. Got the bill had a look to see my partner was charged £3.60 for sweet potatoe fries, price of a full price side?? Mentioned this and it was because of the change. Change? It's a meal with side included, disgrace added a full price side on. Both chips where straight out of the freezer nothing special at all! There was no tobacco onions on the burger but yes we where charged for this. I was charged £1.00 for a scoop of Mayonnaise? Daylight robbery trying to basically steal people's money charging for items wasn't even in the food. The guy knew exactly what he was doing also this was no mistake. And when I said about the bill the girl working stared at us both like we had done somthing wrong, sorry to say but if you don't like you job leave and get a new one or at least crack a smile. And also the burgers were one chicken breast butterflied into 2 for our both burgers covered in alot of bread. Sorry but you try and steal money off me and you will hear about it :)

We went in for a lunch. Staff weren’t terribly charming but that wasn’t too big of a deal to us. We both asked for tap water, and got handed two bottles of water, so we asked if we could get tap water instead. We were still charged for the bottled water which we didn’t realise till afterwards. The burrito was just a wrap at double the price of any other actual burrito I’ve ever had. The chicken burger was pretty decent and helped bring the review to 2 stars. The music choices and atmosphere did not make sense... Taylor swift was playing in a South American restaurant with a picture of the Eiffel Tower on the wall? There were countless spelling mistakes on the menu, “Boritto”, “Sause”, “Chabatta”. It just wasn’t up to par. I love the idea of this restaurant and Newcastle sorely needs a great grill restaurant, I take no pleasure giving this place a low review either as I feel there was a lot of passion in trying to bring this together with the branded leather aprons and menus. As a local I personally won’t be returning or recommending this restaurant. I feel this place must be explicitly here to serve families as the family tables beside us received vastly better service from the get go.
