Overlooking Newcastle’s picturesque sea front, Sea Salt Café & Bistro offers new flavours & old favourites.

We are passionate about quality; our food and coffee come from the best local suppliers we can find and are prepared with care. Our all day breakfast and lunch menu boasts lots of flavour and has something to satisfy appetites large and small. Extremely helpful and polite staff and a great menu with huge choice. The menu has lots of homemade delights, soda and wheaten being a particular favourite. I would recommend the mushrooms on soda with some black pudding on the side if you are there for breakfast. We went to the bistro a few times and it was outstanding, super fresh and local food in a relaxed environment. Can't talk highly enough of the food or the staff. Check it out!

Disappointed, used to go there regularly on a Friday and get the pancakes and my OH would get a fry.  But the pancakes although fresh had a strange taste and the bread with the fry couldn't have been any smaller and thinner.  The round potato bread was that thin it was more like a poppadom.  Not sure if we would go back.

Fantastic staff really warm and friendly. The food was delicious, fresh and warm. Would highly recommend sea salt

Had a great coffee today and sheltered from the elements outside.
The new interior of Seasalt is very nice, staff friendly as usual and coffee amazing.

Clean cage. Staff lovely and friendly. Food tasty and well presented at very reasonable prices.  Had a toastie and steaming hot soup while looking out at a cold unfriendly sea. Great wee place.
