You can never go wrong with Dishoom. Yes, we had to wait about an hour for a table. But only 20 of those minutes were outside before we were given a bar table. And how can you be upset for the wait when they give you the loveliest, warmest, sweetest, spiciest chai latte of your life for free? I'd take 10 of those please nnWe had the Chicken Ruby and the Chefs Special and so yummy ! Very spicy but indeed yummynnIt is very tight and loud inside but the atmosphere is overall pleasant. The food is the star in my opinion.nnThe staff that served our table was incredibly helpful, attentive and just a nice chat. It was my bday so it was really thoughtful of them to surprise us with free desert with a candle.nnLately it has been getting some popularity with tourists which may become a bigger issue if the chain starts taking customers for grated and get sloppy.nnBut in the meantime is as lovely as ever. What an incredible place to celebrate my birthday! I walked in with my partner and baby and managed to get a table.nnThe service was 10/10. We had the lovely Nasir from Bangladesh looking after us, and he was great, really caring and always making sure everything was good for us. He gave us some excellent recommendations, and there are a few we will try next time.nnWe started with the okra fries, then had the chicken Ruby, monkfish curry, and gunpowder potatoes. The dishes were amazing!nnThey also brought out a little cake for my birthday, which was a really nice touch.nnI have been to this Dishoom many times, and it is by far one of my favourite restaurants in London.nnThank you Nasir!
What a fabulous evening! From the atmosphere, our waitress to the food all fantastic! The staff were so good to our large booking, the food is top notch and different! the building itself is huge but so nicely decorated. I’ll be talking about this place for months to come. Thank you for looking after us! definitely recommend
we got so lucky in the queue and it didn’t take long even if it was prime dining hour! and they’re so lovely and offer you tiny drinks in the line : we got seated in the lounge area which was more of a bar area but tbh SO CHILL! a lot of lighting and comfy seats. not a downgrade whatsoever.nnfood was AMAZING, i’ve been here once before and it was ok, but this time we ordered the right things. their IPA is delightful, mango lassi is yum too. their chicken ruby is a must order for standard tikka masala/butter chicken fans. also lamb curry was so well spiced and tender. i was blown away by the daal which didn’t look like much for the world but it was heckin creaaaamyyyy and so balanced. mushy, filling, dark and gorgeous. the samosas were great too, especially lamb.nni also didn’t expect the dessert to be so good but the ice cream… idk what they put in that but it was so fluffy and paired so well with the melty choccy pudding…nnso lovely and my whole family had a great time!
After arriving at St.Pancras we we're longing for a good breakfast. I booked in advance to avoid disappointment if the place was packed. I checked the website for specials before arrival so I knew they had some interesting christmas specials. I chose the naan with honeyglazed pigs in blankets one of the specials. It was so good with two perfect runny sunny side up eggs. Combined with my bottemless Chai and a few sips from my daughters mango lassi made it the perfect start of a very busy day. My partner had the full Bombay which you can't go wrong with when you are a big ester and our daughter had childrens size cinnamon pancakes with cream and fresh fruits. All the food was amazing and most of the staff were great. The location is also beautiful. I love how the buildings got made into a new destination!nnFyi I know the pictures of the food might look underwhelming but the flavor explosion is real. I choose flavor over aesthetically pleasing food any day.
